Walt Disney World Resort Cast Members can easily get tested for COVID-19 just a few miles from the theme parks — and it’s completely free.

On August 14, a COVID-19 testing site officially opened to the public, with a lane dedicated specifically for Disney Cast Members. The testing site — located at 3010 Maingate Lane in Kissimmee, FL — is open daily from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and, at the time of this article’s publication, advanced reservations are not required. You also don’t need to have any symptoms of COVID-19 in order to get tested. All you have to do is head over!

The testing site previously required reservations in advance, as it had stated before that a printed voucher was needed in order to receive testing. But now, that is no longer the case.

Keep in mind: “Testing at this site is for Disney cast members, operating participant employees, and family members. Family members are defined as spouses, domestic partners, parents, and children,” per the official website.

Many of the people who have gotten tested for COVID-19 at this location have shared how easy it is. Several have reported that there was little to no wait at the Maingate complex. And many have shared that it is a self-swab location, meaning the person getting tested will administer the test themselves. You can read more about the different types of COVID-19 tests here.

But keep in mind that now, COVID-19 testing for Cast Members does not require a reservation whatsoever. The testing site at the Maingate complex in Kissimmee, FL is now accepting walk-ups, so there is no reservation required in order to get tested for COVID-19.

The availability of COVID-19 testing for Disney Cast Members has been a point of contention for some time, both at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and across the country at Disneyland Resort in California. Although Disney World was open for over one month before this COVID-19 site opened, it may be the opposite case for Disneyland. Disney officials have stated that they are aiming for COVID-19 testing facilities to be available for Disneyland Resort Cast Members soon. A date for when the testing site will open has not yet been revealed, but Disneyland has not yet opened, either.

As a reminder, the free COVID-19 testing site near Walt Disney World is located at 3010 Maingate Lane, Kissimmee, FL.
