Disney+’s Marvel collection has all the movies of the Infinity Saga except two: Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home. But it looks like that is about to change!
A Marvel fan on Reddit noticed a new banner ad from Disney+ showcases the posters of films a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Black Panther, Avengers: Endgame, and Spider-Man: Far From Home?
This comes as a surprise because when Disney+ released its October schedule, neither film was listed nor currently available on the platform.
This is a clear suggestion that both Spider-Man standalone films featuring Tom Holland as Peter Parker, are available–or at least will be soon–on Disney’s streaming service. It was first spotted on shopDisney’s website and has since been taken down. But it is not the only hint of an impending upload.
A simple search onto Disney+’s Marvel collection will show a sub-collection entitled “Spider-Verse.” Currently, it features the animated Spider-Man television movies and series as well as the three MCU movies in which he appeared: Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.
This also suggests that Disney is laying the groundwork for the inclusion of more Spider-Man films such as Homecoming and Far From Home, but could it also, maybe, include Venom, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and more?
Sony Pictures, which owns Spider-Man, is already attempting to build its own Spider-Man Universe and has had a rocky relationship with Disney in maintaining a partnership that would allow for the two Spider-Man films we have and the third reportedly on the way. So only time will tell if the relationship would allow for such a move to happen.
We at Inside the Magic will update our readers as soon as we get the official word from Disney or Marvel.
Do you think we can expect Tom Holland’s Spider-Man Movies on Disney+ soon? Why or why not? Let us know in the comments!
