How will social distancing work when Disneyland and Disney California Adventure reopen? Thanks to a new video, we’re starting to get an idea.
We’ve been keeping our Inside the Magic readers up to date with the latest news pertaining to Disneyland reopening. We don’t yet have a reopening date for the theme parks of Disneyland Resort, but while we wait we are definitely getting excited about all of the new developments occurring on property.
A new video published by David at Fresh Baked shows social distancing signs installed inside Disneyland park, something we haven’t yet noticed until now. Note, however, that we do not yet know when exactly these signs were installed; rather, this is the first time we have been able to catch a glimpse of them.
This footage was taken from a distance — Guests visiting Downtown Disney are able to meander around the Esplanade but must stand behind ropes several feet in front of the Disneyland gates.
The footage was taken while David was standing in an area of the Esplanade that is the left side of the Disneyland gates and zooming in through the tunnel underneath the Main Street Station for the Disneyland Railroad. In the following screenshots, you can see hand sanitizing stations and social distancing signs to encourage Guests to stay at least six feet apart from other parties.
We can also catch another glimpse of the refurbishment that has continued to take place at the Disneyland Emporium.
Likewise, at the right entrance tunnel, there is also a hand sanitizing station, as well as social distancing signs and signs for traffic control.
For more information regarding where to find hand sanitizer and hand washing stations inside Disneyland and DCA, you can read our article here.
A couple of vans (indicating work of some sort taking place within the theme park) were also spotted driving on Main Street, U.S.A.

Keep in mind that we do not yet know when Disneyland and Disney California Adventure will reopen. However, it’s small signs like this that are giving us hope while the Happiest Place on Earth remains temporarily closed. As soon as more information pertaining to the reopening of Disneyland Resort is released, we will update Inside the Magic with the latest news.
