Annual pass event

If there is one thing Annual Passholders love (myself included), it is an AP event! Annual Passholder events are the things that make being a Passholder so exciting because you get exclusive content and products often before everyone else.

And that is exactly what is happening on Monday, September 21, 2020. Now this is not going to be a Disney Park AP event, but instead a first look and chance to buy Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge merchandise before anyone else can. The merchandise will officially be released on Tuesday September 22, 2020, but from 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM on Monday – Annual Passholders get the first taste!

As we discussed earlier, Disney mentioned:

Products direct from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be shipped from the planet of Batuu and available at Star Wars Trading Post in Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort and Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort and online at shopDisney.com for a limited time!

This availability of Galaxy’s Edge merchandise at Downtown Disney is especially exciting for Disneyland Resort locals who have not been able to visit SWGE, walk around on Batuu, or watch their favorite droids roam around for months due to the park closure.

But let’s take a look at what this Annual Passholder event has to offer…

As seen on the official Walt Disney World Resort My Disney Experience app, the Passholder preview discusses the following:

Once inside the Star Wars Trading Post, you’ll discover merchandise from a variety of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge locations, including recruitment gear, handcrafted toys and collectibles, curious creatures and droids. Keen observers will also find that the Millennium Falcon popcorn bucket has flown in from Batuu too, and can be purchased with a choice of churro or pretzel at a snack cart near the Earl of Sandwich®—available September 21 through September 28 for all Guests, while supplies last. Fans can also visit the Disney Parks Blog to vote for which legacy lightsaber they want to see next at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!

Don’t Forget About Your Discount! You’ll also be able to use your limited-time, Passholder discount to save 30% on Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge merchandise during the event (while supplies last, subject to change without notice; discount does not apply to reusable bags).

Important Details
Passholder must present a valid annual pass card and government-issued photo ID to enter the event and at time of purchase to receive discount. Discount is for personal use only and may not be used to purchase merchandise with the intent to resell the merchandise. Locations and operating hours subject to change without notice. Limit of 10 units of a single item per transaction. All Guests will be able to shop at Star Wars Trading Post at Disney Springs starting September 22, 2020. This event will take place at the Star Wars Trading Post, located in the Marketplace at Disney Springs across from the Earl of Sandwich. Note: special experiences such as Savi’s Workshop and Droid Depot, and legacy lightsabers will not be available at Disney Springs.

So not only do we get to get our hands on the latest Star Wars merchandise Disney has to offer, but there will be food options as well! The downside about this event, like any AP event, is that you have to be there in person. Unfortunately accessing the merchandise online will not come until Tuesday, September 22, but if you CAN make the event, you will get first dips with the newly extended %30 off AP perk.
