Today is Spider-Man Day. 58 years ago, the comic book icon was introduced to the world, and fans have wasted no time flocking to Twitter to celebrate.

We at Inside the Magic also share an appreciation for everybody’s favorite web-slinger, and we wanted to share a few of the tributes that caught out eye.

Robby Rosenfeld wrote, “A reminder that ANYONE can wear the mask. You can wear the mask! Happy #SpiderManDay Don’t forget the hyphen between Spider and Man.”

@Mark_GilD wrote, “Happy #SpiderMan day. The greatest superhero of all time. Hero who taught us that ‘With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility’ and how to deal with normal life problems and never get disappointed and tired and keep moving. Forever alive Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. #SpiderManDay”

@TimeLordAli Tweeted, “Today is #SpiderManDay and I want to express how greatful I am for the existence of this character and how much happiness it’s brought me. I’ve made amazing friends from it, had amazing experiences from it and Spider-Man never fails to brighten my day.”

@kyleem27 shared pictures of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker and Miles Morales, saying “Happy #SpiderManDay to my two favorite spidermen. What a holiday.”

Chris Wyatt wrote, “Happy #SpiderManDay, true believers!”

After a very trying series of events, Disney and Sony came to an agreement to have at least one more Spider-Man film with Tom Holland in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, the concerns surrounding the global pandemic have caused filming of the third film in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming series.

Marvel Studio president Kevin Feige recently spoke about Peter Parker’s future in the MCU.

“It’ll be fun to see Spidey back in his element, out of the shadow of Tony, out of the shadow of the other Avengers, as his own man now, as his own hero,” he said in a previous interview. “And yet now facing his own challenges that aren’t coming from Avengers fighting, like [Captain America: Civil War], or aliens coming, like [Avengers: Infinity War] or [Avengers: Endgame]. It’s all Peter focused and Peter based.”
