Yesterday, Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California announced its phased reopening plan, which will begin on July 9 with Downtown Disney. Disneyland park and Disney’s California Adventure park will follow on July 17, Disneyland’s 65th anniversary.
On July 23, two of the three Disneyland Resort on-site hotels, Paradise Pier and the Grand Californian, will reopen to Guests. A reopening date for the Disneyland Hotel, which is getting a new DVC tower, has not yet been announced.
Ahead of these reopening dates, Disneyland has updated various cancellation policies to better serve Guests.
Disneyland Resort Theme Park Ticket Updates
Disneyland has currently paused all new ticket and Annual Passport sales. If, however, you already hold a valid theme park ticket, the following information will apply to you.
Expiration dates for Southern California Resident Tickets, promotional Disneyland Child Tickets, Canada Resident Tickets, and Australia/New Zealand Resident Tickets have been “extended through December 16, 2021” with certain blockout dates.
Disneyland has also announced that “There are no changes to the Military Salute Ticket offer. Tickets may be used on non-consecutive days and expire December 18, 2020.” You can read our latest update to Military Tickets here.

Disneyland Hotel Reservation and Vacation Package Updates
Disneyland has also posted updates to its hotel reservation and vacation package cancellation policies. For Room-Only Hotel Reservations at Disneyland Resort, Disney is “waiving Disney-imposed change and cancellation fees up to the date of check-in for reservations with arrivals through July 22, 2020.”
This same extended Disney cancellation policy applies to vacation packages, which include both a hotel reservation and DLR theme park tickets.
