ROOOOARRRR! We know you’re dying to dine with a Dinosaur… just don’t go extinct over it! With the shocking news in March that Landry’s was laying off all their workers (not just at Disney), we weren’t sure if restaurants like T-Rex cafe would reopen at Disney Springs. Massive furloughs swept the company and made it look like reopening any restaurant was going to be quite a feat. But just a few months later, the sleeping spell is starting to wear off our favorite shopping district. As Disney Springs reopens with both third party and Disney locations, we’re happy to announce that T-Rex Cafe is reopening their Jurassic doors on May 20th, 2020 at 11 am.

“Thank you for calling Trex cafe at Disney Springs! We are excited to announce that we will be opening to the public starting on May 20th at 11 am. If you wish to make a reservation, please call back starting Monday, May 18th.” – T-Rex Cafe Voicemail
Tear into a rotisserie chicken with the gusto of a dinosaur or slice into a salad plate alongside a wooly mammoth at the T Rex Cafe. The animatronic dinosaurs can be quite loud, so if you’ve never shared food at this Disney Spring location, be aware that this themed restaurant can be a loud experience, especially in the echoing ice cave. But it’s fun nevertheless. Our families have never been disappointed in the experience. When you’re finished dining with your whole family, be sure to stop by the bar to see the giant octopus hanging from the ceiling. The T-Rex Cafe is a Walt Disney World dining location that your kid (or tyrannosaurus rex lover) is going to crazy over!

You will also need to check reservation policies as schedules, regulations, and guidelines continue to change. Having a dining reservation doesn’t necessarily mean you will be admitted to Disney Springs, much like New Year’s Eve when Magic Kingdom is extremely busy and may face phase closures. Be sure to arrive with time to park, be screened, and travel to your dining destination.
