Hong Kong Disneyland has been prepping for its reopening for quite some time now. From putting up temperature screening tents to placing social distancing markings on the ground, the Disney park is slowly getting ready to reopen its gates to visitors. Although Disney has still not yet announced an official reopening date, the theme park has been gearing up for when its ready to welcome back guests.

And now, it looks as though the theme park is ready to take its next step — Hosting a soft reopening. According to Twitter User, @hkdl_of_fantasy, Hong Kong Disneyland is getting ready for its reopening by testing a soft opening with Cast Members. From May 19 – May 21, Hong Kong Disneyland will be reopening to Cast Members only.

On April 29, we reported that Hong Kong Disneyland was preparing for a reopening. The preparations focused heavily on maintaining safe social distancing for when visitors come and for the Cast Members who work there. One day later, we reported that Hong Kong Disneyland took the next step in the reopening process by bringing back select Disney Character Dining with certain Disney Characters for visitors before officially reopening their theme park.

We also recently reported that Hong Kong Disneyland was setting up other protocols such as markings on the ground, temperature check tents, and safety protocol signs.
