Good news continues to pour in for the U.S. Disney Parks! A reopening plan and date should be forthcoming later today, and Disney Springs continues with their phased reopening. Today, a few Disney-owned and operated retailers are re-opening their doors and we are hEAR to give you a first look!
Disney Springs reopened its doors last week to eager guests and cast ready to get back to the magic. Disney’s guest and cast safety have been a top priority to the company and all health and safety protocols that the CDC has suggested are set in place are being carefully observed and enforced.
Currently, guests ages 3 and up visiting Disney Springs must wear face masks at all times, social distancing is being enforced, and guests and their entire party must have a temperature lower than 100.4º upon temperature screening prior to being allowed to enter the shopping and dining district.
In order to get into World of Disney and the Marketplace Co-Op, guests could utilize a virtual queue system. You can read more here.
Here is a look at the crowds on reopening day of World of Disney. As you can see, guests lined up in an hours-long line that stretched across property.
World of Disney Reopens
The largest Disney store in the world, World of Disney, is officially reopened! The beloved alien experiment 626, aka Stitch, is back at his shenanigans spitting at and welcoming nearby guests. Shoppers can finally shop in person after a long 10-weeks of the store being closed in an abundance of caution and effort to mitigate the current health pandemic.
Guests have been looking forward to being able to purchase a piece of the magic to take home and now they finally can!
The store currently has social distancing markers on the ground to help guide guests where to stand within the store and near the registers. They are also limiting the number of people in the store, not just today on reopening day but from now on in the foreseeable future.
Marketplace Co-Op Reopens
Another Disney-owned and operated shopping location, the Marketplace Co-Op has also reopened its doors today. The store utilized social distancing markers on the floor and limited the number of people in the store, just like World of Disney.
The Marketplace co-op is a retail emporium where you can find an eclectic array of some of Disney’s most popular brands—from art, apparel, and accessories to personalized tech gear and gadgetry, pet items, home décor and more, according to the Disney Springs website.
