Looking to be one of the first at Disney Springs on the day of reopening? Well, here is a brief overview of what you can expect as far as new security measures to be put in place following the entertainment center’s reopening.

As we recently shared, Disney Springs is set to reopen at Walt Disney World in a limited capacity come Wednesday, May 20. However, this reopening will come with some changes, including the fact that all guests and employees must wear face masks, undergo temperature screenings, and abide by limited capacities, which could mean you may have to wait before getting into the shopping center.

In this post, we’re gonna take a look at some of these new measures a little closer.

For those wondering if Disney Springs will implement a bag check given some of the new measures being put in place at the shopping center — the answer is no. However, guests will have to wait in line for temperature checks prior to entering Disney Springs and if a guest has a temperature of over 100.4, they will not be admitted.

As we’ve previously reported, many guests have been mixed on their feelings of wearing face coverings or masks on Disney properties. However, regardless of these feelings, it’s worth noting that guests WILL NOT be admitted into Disney Springs without a face covering as it is required by everyone present at the shopping center throughout the duration of their visit.

According to the Disney Website, disposable masks may be available. However, they are not guaranteed.

For guests who are still persistent in the fact that they do not want to wear a face covering to the shopping center Disney has released a message to these patrons on their official website, stating:
Given this unprecedented situation, we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we navigate these challenges as responsibly as we can. With our robust measures in place, we believe a key factor in our success in reopening Disney Springs will be our Guests’ acceptance and adherence to our new protocols. Guests without masks will not be allowed entry to Disney Springs.
