The health pandemic has stopped Disney lovers everywhere from visiting theme parks around the world, as they’ve all closed. As an adult, this is a total bummer, but for kids, it’s even sadder. Though we’ve tried to keep spirits up with suggestions of how to keep the magic alive at home, the reports of heartbroken kids who just want to experience the joys of Magic Kingdom are just too sad to take.

Fortunately, much like the amazing New Jersey community who rallied around a girl who’d had her make a wish trip canceled, a couple in Wales have made it their mission to spread Disney joy and laughter, and turn this pandemic into something hopeful with a Disney quarantine.

Adrian and Alex Currie have taken to the streets dressed as Disney characters including Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, which have gone viral on social media. Here in the U.K, we’re allowed two hours of allocated exercise time, and this amazing duo have made sure to use their’s to make children smile.

Fans of Disney films and parks alike have been ecstatic to see their favorite characters wave at them from the comfort of their own neighborhood.

On Easter Sunday, kids who were watching the Disney Plus streaming service could finish watching their favorite Disney movie and see that very same character out and about, and we think that’s just magical. Adrian told Wales Online;

‘People are saying how much it has lifted their spirits,”

‘So this is what we are doing. Kids love it and it cheers them up. They know they are going to get a wave.’

‘We have some 74-year-olds saying it has raised their spirits because they weren’t expecting it.’

Well done Adrian and Alex!

One thing’s for sure, the coronavirus pandemic isn’t going to stop any magic lovers having the best darn Disney quarantine possible. We’ll be back at the happiest place on Earth soon, I’m sure. But until then, look after yourselves and your families, put on your favorite Disney song, and remember that we’ll get through this.
