With Earth Day right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to celebrate an uplifting and impactful accomplishment, earned by Disney’s Animal Kingdom Care Team once again!
This team continuously dedicates time, energy and research to wildlife conservation and offers the highest quality of care towards the animals they house in both the park and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. It’s through this genuine love and respect of wild animals, that they’ve once again earned a validating accreditation by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (the AZA). Hard work truly pays off!
Bob Iger recognizes hard work!
To make the accreditation even more exciting, Bob Iger — who recently stepped back into a leading role in the company — took to Twitter to share the news and offer his personal congratulations to the hardworking team!

Cast members work behind the scenes
Despite continued park closures worldwide, Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment Cast Members still continue to report into work at both the park and resort to ensure that the animal care and welfare is their top priority. They work to foster true relationships with the animals and to make sure that they are cared for in the best and most personalized ways.
The team that continues to work with these animals comprises a wide array of cast members who all have very different specialties. Some of which are nutrition, veterinary care, animal care, conservation, science, and various education programs. Disney’s Animal kingdom has always been a big contributor to conservation efforts and continues to actively teach people of all ages about wildlife conservation and animal welfare!
Cast members continue to create magic
As with all cast members, there is a great pride in the work that these teams do. The way that their time and skills assists with the wellbeing of these amazing animals also contributes so much to the overall magic and beauty of the Animal Kingdom park that we all miss dearly.
