When this family’s Disney vacation got postponed due to the temporary park closures, they decided to bring the magic into their own home.

The Gubenkos’ Family has a Walt Disney World vacation booked to celebrate Jessica’s mother’s 65th birthday. But when the disappointment came of the temporary park closures, they decided to put their creativity and imagination to the test.

“We decided to tell them a bit in advance because they are both really creative and we knew they would want to give some input,” Jessica told BuzzFeed.

The “vacation” began by having a wonderful breakfast at Chef Mickey’s, located inside the Contemporary Resort. Then it was time to go to the parks!

Choosing which attractions to enjoy was a bit of a struggle considering there are so many — But they stuck to their favorites and “rode” the Slinky Dog coaster, it’s a small world, the Magic Carpets of Aladdin, and more. They continued their Disney day by getting beautiful makeovers over at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

But of course, a day at Walt Disney World isn’t complete without a Dole Whip and watching Happily Ever After. So, that is how The Gubenkos’ Family ended their day.

“I cried during Happily Ever After,” Jessica told BuzzFeed. “I thought of that very last-minute on Sunday, actually, and my mom happened to have a small projector and we waited until it got dark to do it. It was just like being at the parks. The girls were toast from all the fun and it was really cold but we threw the stroller out back and when I hear that music I just get teary-eyed.”

Today was supposed to be our first day in the parks with our entire family so we surprised our girls with a Disney vacation at home! We were most bummed about not being able to meet our family down there so my niece joined us for our princess parade via FaceTime! ❤️ #disney #waltdisneyworld #staycation
