Disney is known as the happiest and most magical place on earth. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a place for kids to add some extra Disney magic to their vacation. It is a really fun place for kids to feel like a princess (or prince). Here is my Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique review through the eyes for a “princess”!
What is Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is an experience for girls and boys ages 3 to 12 and going is like stepping into a fairy tale. Like most kids who go to Disney know, nothing is more magical than transforming into your favorite princess (or prince)!
I have been to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique three different times and each of my visits was unique and fun. I was able to go to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique when I was 5, 7 and 9 years old. For my first visit (since I was only 5), I have limited memories but lots of pictures to help remember the day.
During my second visit, I visited the old location in Disney Springs which was inside the World of Disney store. This was by far my favorite experience at Bibbiddi Bobbidi Boutique!
My final trip to Bibbidi Bobbidi was to celebrate my 9th birthday. Since it was my birthday, I decided to bring my own fancy dress to be a “birthday princess”. Being my birthday, I got a special birthday pin and a birthday sash to wear for the day which made me feel extra special.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo
For me, the perfect age to experience Bibbidi Bobbidi was when I was 7 years old and this is the trip I want to share with you. What made it the best?
Well first, I remember the experience which is always a plus for making special memories. Second, I got to be Queen Elsa and pick out my dress at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. While you can bring your own dress, getting your dress from Disney adds extra magic to the experience. Finally, our trip was during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and I liked being extra made up for Halloween.
The transformation begins, where else, but with the DRESS! Regardless if you bring your own dress or purchase one at there, getting your dress on will help set the mood for your transformation. For this trip, my parents got me the Castle Package and I got to pick my dress out at the boutique. I chose an Elsa dress and I loved it! With the Castle Package, you also get a coordinating accessory and I chose Elsa’s wand to complete my outfit.
Meeting my Fairy Godmother-in-training
Next, I got to meet my Fairy Godmother-in-training and I was taken to my seat for my royal transformation. A Fairy Godmother-in-training is studying to follow in the footsteps of Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother. Your Fairy Godmother-in-training will keep you entertained with stories of the other Disney Princess’s adventures while also transforming you into your own special princess.
Styling of my hair
You will have a couple of different hairstyles to pick from. For me, I chose the Disney Diva hairstyle which included a ponytail hairpiece. The Fairy Godmother-in-training works really hard on your hair. She will use special “jellyfish” jelly that she got from Ariel to make sure your hair stays in place.
Once your hairstyle is done, you will be sprinkled with pixie dust courtesy of Tinker Bell herself! I feel like the pixie dust makes your hair shimmer in the sun. Also, if you do not want to be made up, but want the pixie dust, then you can just go in and request pixie dust for your hair.
Makeup and nails are the final steps in your transformation. You will get to chose the colors for your eyeshadow, blush, lipgloss, and nail. If you like, there is also the option to pick a couple of jewel stickers as a final touch. And as an added bonus, all the extra makeup and jewel stickers will be included in your Bibbiddi Bobbidi Boutique bag as you leave.
I hope you enjoyed my Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique review. You can go to Walt Disney World website for information on making a reservation. For me, it is a really fun time and I would recommend going if you get the chance. If I was younger, I would really like to do it again. Thankfully, I now get to experience Disney’s Character Couture because Disney says I don’t have to grow up!
