Now that Springtime is upon us, so many people were excited to be able to experience what I personally think is the best festival at Disney — Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival. Unfortunately, with the recent park closures, there’s a good chance that many guests won’t have the opportunity to see the beauty of this vibrant festival this season.

Let’s Bring The Magic Home!

I too am among those whose Disney vacations were unexpectedly canceled, but I’m determined to lean into magic at home as much as possible! So if you want to join me in bringing one of the most popular drinks from the International Flower and Garden Festival right to your home, follow along with this easy recipe.

  • 4 oz. violet syrup
  • 1 ½ cups of water

Let’s Get Started

Mix all of the ingredients (violet syrup, water, red and blue food coloring and ice) together in a blender until the ice and lemonade concentrates are smoothed out completely.

Mix in food coloring a little bit at a time, mixing until the drink gets to just the right violet color!

Once the mix is perfect, serve in adorable glasses, add some violets and lemon wedges to garnish the drink! Bam — it’s just like you’re at Epcot!

Looking to try out an adult version of this classic springtime drink?

Follow the directions below for the perfect boozy violet lemonade!

To make this version, you’ll need:

  • 2 oz. violet syrup
  • 2 oz. vodka
  • 1 oz. lemon juice (approximately 1/2 a lemon, juiced)
  • 4 oz. club soda

Start by mixing the violet syrup, vodka, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker. Once the mixture is well shaken, pour over half a glass of ice and add in the club soda. Once the full drink is poured, top with the same garnishes as the first recipe — lemon wedges and edible violet flowers.

I don’t know about you, but these recipes just made me even more excited that it’s spring!
