Another wild Marvel rumor has been sent across the Twittersepher by another decently credible whistleblower. This time, it centers around the character, Miles Morales. Apparently, Marvel is trying to add the web-slinger from Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse into its Cinematic Universe.
This idea comes from a tweet from insider Daniel Richtman who tweeted the following:
Love where the MCU is headed diversity wise. We had an all white 6 Avengers at first but down the line we'll get a black Captain America (Sam), Spider-Man (Miles) and Captain Marvel (Monica). Asian with Shang-Chi and Sersi and Muslim with Ms. Marvel and Blade.

While increased diversity in the MCU is a good thing and can’t be left out, there is more significant news paired with the potential addition of Miles Morales. If Morales joins the MCU, then we could be getting closer and closer to seeing the Spiderverse merge into the MCU as well. But while fans would be amazed to see the Spiderverse become an official part of Marvel’s ever-expanding cinematic universe, this is not likely to happen anytime soon.
Beyond the fact that Marvel Studios is already booked up its Phase 4 movies and a sequel to Into the Spiderverse is already on the way, the very public bout between Disney and Sony to keep Tom Holland’s Spider-Man a part of the MCU was tough enough. And the success of Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse was cited by many as a reason for Sony to pull away on its own. But Venom might be a gateway point. Originally planned to take place in the Spiderverse more signs are starting to put it secretly in the MCU. Sony has even said that they want Venom in the MCU.
But, don’t hold your breath on this rumor. Beyond this tweet, we have nothing else to go off of. But we want to hear from you, our audience about what you think of the possibility of Miles Morales joining the MCU.
What do you think? Would you like to see Miles Morales join the MCU? Do you think Disney and Sony can work together to allow such an arrangement? If so, how long do you think it would take to work out? Let us know in the comments!
