Update 1/27:

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is still scheduled to be closed on Monday, January 27, and Tuesday, January 28, due to cold weather. At the time of this article’s publication, the water park will be open on January 29, though we will update Inside the Magic if anything changes regarding the operating schedule.

Original Article:

Some of Florida’s most beloved parks have been temporarily closing due to the cold weather in Florida this week. And today, we confirmed that one of Disney’s parks will remain closed. Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park will be closed Saturday and Sunday as cold temperatures persist in central Florida.

We reported earlier this week that Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park (as well as Universal Orlando Resort’s Volcano Bay Water Park) was closed from January 20 through January 22 due to the dangerously cold temperatures that hit Orlando. Blizzard Beach reopened later in the week, but according to the Walt Disney World website, the water park will be closed on Saturday, January 25, and Sunday, January 26, as the weather in central Florida continues to be much chillier than usual.

Also, keep in mind if you’re visiting Disney World this weekend that Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park (the other water park on Disney property) is also still closed for its annual refurbishment.

Not to fret, Disney fans, because Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is set to reopen for the week on Monday, January 27. So far it doesn’t look like the park will be impacted by next week’s weather forecast, but we will keep you updated if we find out more information.
