New Year’s Eve is one of the most popular events of the year at Walt Disney World Resort. People from far and wide travel to Disney World to watch the New Year’s fireworks displays at theme parks like Magic Kingdom and Epcot. And it’s no surprise that Disney fans would want to end 2019 with a bang! But while watching the fireworks at the Disney Parks is included with your theme park admission ticket, Disney’s newest party — held at the newest on-property resort hotel — costs a pretty penny…$550 per person, to be exact.

Disney’s Riviera Resort, the newest on-property resort hotel at Walt Disney World, just opened this week, and with it Topolino’s Terrace, a rooftop dining location that hosts a character breakfast in the morning and fireworks-view dinners at night. While the dinner menu isn’t remarkably expensive, for Disney’s standards, there is something incredibly pricey that Topolino’s Terrace is offering this New Year’s Eve: an end-of-the-year party that costs hundreds of dollars to attend.

Mezzanotte at Topolino’s: An Italian Masquerade – New Year’s Eve is the newest event on Disney World property. It’s an Italian-inspired masquerade party, which seems pretty fitting considering Disney’s Riviera Resort is heavily inspired by the Italian Riviera. But even though New Year’s Eve is a highly popular time for Disney World, right now it’s unclear if Mezzanotte at Topolino’s will be popular enough to draw crowds willing to pay over $500 per person to celebrate the end of a decade.

Here’s how Disney describes Mezzanote at Topolino’s, along with everything included in the event:

Step out in elegant fashion and into a rooftop restaurant when you celebrate the New Year at this happening soiree.

Dress in your most luxurious red refinery and don custom masks upon your arrival to this masterful masquerade. Dine on a delectable buffet and tapas-style feast. Artisanal cheeses, chilled seafood, hand-crafted pastas, French and Italian specialties and imported chocolates are just a few of the amazing delicacies that await.

Say goodbye to 2019 in style when you dance to a vivacious DJ and the tones from Italian Riviera musicians and vocalists. Take in a spectacular view when theme park fireworks light up the night! Finally, raise a glass at midnight during our complimentary champagne toast.

If this experience fits within your budget, it’s recommended to book it as soon as possible. But if you still want to experience Topolino’s Terrace at a price point well under $550, you can head to the restaurant on New Year’s Day for a character brunch, which will cost $59 per adult and $37. Dressing up is still encouraged for the New Year’s Day Character Brunch, so feel free to do so!

Alternatively, if you want to celebrate New Year’s Eve on Disney property but you want to avoid the theme park crowds, we suggest grabbing a delicious meal at Disney Springs, watching the fireworks from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, or Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, or even booking a different meal with a fireworks view, like dinner at ‘Ohana or California Grill.

If you’ll be on your Disney vacation next week, what are your New Year’s Eve plans? Would you pay $550 for this masquerade party at Disney’s Reservation Resort? Let us know in the comments!
