Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opened to the public today, December 5, and it is already bringing in large crowds, but it is also experiencing technical difficulties, which is causing a bit of a fuss.
Parking opened to the public around 4:30am and to no surprise, Disney guests formed lines inside the park very quickly in order to travel to Batuu.
Once the park officially opened and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance started operating, crowds formed at the attraction and Disney guests started to enjoy the ride. But, unfortunately, it didn’t take long before the highly anticipated attraction started experiencing technical difficulties.
And, of course, Twitter is blowing up with reactions to the broken down attraction:

It also looks as if Disney is currently handing out Re-Entry Passes for those guests who were stuck on the attraction.

The Disney Parks App is currently reporting that Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is not assigning new boarding groups for the attraction.
It has also been reported that the new attraction actually takes 60 – 90 minutes to reset the ride after it breaks down.
