Now that Halloween is over, the holidays are here at the Walt Disney World Resort, and one of our favorite festive attraction overlays just made its return to the Magic Kingdom! The Jingle Cruise, a fun holiday spin on the classic Jungle Cruise attraction, just re-opened for the holiday season today and we can’t wait to see what this year’s jolliest of puns have in store.

The skippers who guide guests aboard the Jungle Cruise grow homesick for the holidays this time of year, so each winter they load up on the decorations and prepare to launch the Jingle Cruise! The holiday overlay comes with an entirely new series of jokes and puns fit for the most merriest season, along with new twists on classic gags and characters. (Don’t forget to pay a visit to the “head salesman” in the jungle, “Trader Sam-ta!”)

In addition to holiday jokes and decorations that are added throughout the attraction, take a look around the queue while you’re waiting in line to see how the skippers have gotten their home base ready for the season. And as you board your “bote” don’t forget to take a look at their names — they’ve all been re-named just for the occasion!

The Jungle Cruise queue always features a pretty comical radio broadcast, and the same level of comedy can be overheard with some additional holiday cheer in the winter months. We do recommend getting a FastPass for the Jingle Cruise (or the Jungle Cruise) if it’s a priority on your trip to the Magic Kingdom, but know that if can’t get one or if you opt to use them on something else you’ll find some neat seasonal details to check out in the queue while you wait.

The Jingle Cruise is now running in Adventureland, and is available to ride during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party as well. If you are visiting the Walt Disney World Resort this holiday season be sure to stop for a ride to check out the holiday overlay. No end date has been announced for the Jingle Cruise but it typically runs into the first week or so of January and ends when the other holiday decorations come down.
