Credit: Bailee Abell / ITMThis week, Disney has officially increased the price of Minnie Mouse ear headbands at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort.
Prior to the recent change, Minnie Mouse ear headbands were priced at $27.99 each. Now, each pair of Minnie Mouse ears costs $29.99. So with tax (and without an annual passholder discount) a Minnie Mouse ear headband will cost you just over $30.
The change happened what seems like overnight and has affected nearly all of the merchandise locations throughout the theme parks, though it looks like some locations throughout Disneyland and Walt Disney World are displaying inconsistent prices as Disney works to swap out the signage. As you can see, the new signage spotted at World of Disney at Downtown Disney at Disneyland Resort shows the new $29.99 price.
It looks like most ear headbands have a blank price tag that displays only the barcode and not the actual price. However, there are still some pairs of Minnie Mouse ears that display the old $27.99 price.
Though this is only a $2 price increase and there are far more expensive Minnie Mouse ears out there (like these $600 Minnie ears designed in collaboration with Heidi Klum), around $30 for a pair of ears is pretty steep. But if you only invest in one or a few pair of Minnie Mouse ears and you don’t consider yourself the Disney fan who needs every pair, it might not make that much of a difference in your overall Disney trip budget.
