Disney and Love Your Melon have teamed up to create adorable new beanies that are perfect for winter Disney trips — and even better, they go toward a great cause!
On a mission to improve the lives of children battling cancer, since October 22nd, 2012, Love Your Melon began with a simple idea of putting a beanie on the head of every child battling cancer in America.
The “simple idea” soon became a phenomenon and Love Your Melon quickly achieved their original goal of giving 45,000 hats, one for every child battling cancer in America. The company then decided to reach a new goal of giving one million dollars to pediatric cancer research as well as providing immediate support to the children and families going through this difficult time.
Today, Love Your Melon has given over 6.2 million dollars to the fight against pediatric cancer and has given over 170,000 hats to children battling cancer in America.
And now, Love Your Melon has announced they will be partnering with The Walt Disney Company and will launch a two-year collaboration with Disney, Pixar, and Star Wars on October 21!
Disney fans should be on the look out for Love Your Melon’s signature beanies featuring Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse logos as well as adorable knit hats with pom-poms which will resemble mouse ears. Prices will range from $40-$65.
“By incorporating Disney, Pixar, and Star Ward characters into our products, we are able to expand our product collection for our supporters globally,” stated Zachary Quinn, Love Your Melon president.
The new Love Your Melon Disney line will go on sale at 10 a.m. CST on October 21 at loveyourmelon.com/disney. The partnership between these two companies is scheduled to run through 2021. “I never look more than six months out,” Quinn told TCB earlier this year in an interview on the By All Means podcast. Zachary Quinn promised then that “more crazy stuff” was in store for Love Your Melon. We can’t wait to see what the future holds!
