Some things are going on at Walt Disney World that didn’t make the announcements list at the D23 Expo. And we’re not talking about new attractions. We’re talking about pricing increases for Disney World’s dessert parties.
The increases don’t take effect until after the first of the year, but because a surge in prices for these dessert parties is on the horizon, you might want to experience them sooner rather than later.
Fireworks Dessert Party at Magic Kingdom
At the Fireworks Dessert Party at Magic Kingdom, Guests can choose to be seated in one of two reserved viewing areas. Pricing differs based on where you’re seated. Enjoy cheeses, toffee cake, Disney character-themed desserts, eggrolls, spinach dip and more before enjoying the fireworks display from those reserved areas. The price for this event (if seated at the Tomorrowland Terrace) is $84 per adult and $50 per child through January 31, 2020. Beginning February 1, those prices increase to $99 for adults and $59 for kids.Â
Rivers of Light: We Are One Dessert Party at Animal Kingdom
The price hikes aren’t just coming to Magic Kingdom. This scrumptious dessert party begins with a buffet of snacks and themed desserts and beverages. And then it’s off to a special reserved viewing area for the Rivers of Light: We Are One nighttime spectacular, a show that celebrates the beauty of the Earth.
Through January 31, 2020, the cost for the dessert party is $79 for adults and $47 per child. Beginning February 1, 2020, those prices increase to $89 and $53 respectively.
Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party at Hollywood Studios
Ok, out of all the increases in ticket pricing we’ve noticed, we might have expected to see a price hike on something related to Star Wars. Now that Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is open, surely the interest in the Star Wars-themed dessert buffet shindig would increase as well. From November 7 to December 31, this party will cost $79 for adults and $45 for kids. Beginning January 6, the cost increases to $89 for adults and $53 for kids.
The force is strong with this dessert party that begins at Star Wars Launch Bay and features blue milk panna cotta, bread pudding, raspberry mousse domes and more. There are also salty and savory treats. As you enjoy your food, keep your eyes open for characters from the Dark Side. (Don’t worry; the good guys are there too!) Then enjoy a special viewing of Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular. You’ll even get a Star Wars souvenir to take home!
Frozen Ever After Dessert Party at Epcot
The sparkling fun of this dessert party begins at World Showcase Plaza East, and the dessert buffet at this party is second to none, and includes “Frozen”-inspired decadent sweets and savory treats like Kristoff’s Kransekake Almond Cookie, Hans’ Key Lime Tarts with Orange Glitter Glaze, Troll Rock Crispy Bon Bons, Elsa’s Blue Velvet Cupcakes, Olaf’s Warm Double Chocolate S’mores Pudding Cake, Anna’s Warm Cottage Pudding with Salted Caramel Glaze, Sven’s Fresh Fruits with Berries, and more. Guests enjoy an array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages too.
After dessert, Guests enjoy a spectacular nighttime show from a special reserved viewing area. Through September 30, Illuminations: Reflections of Earth will continue to be presented, and beginning October 1, a brand-new nighttime spectacular will be on display. “Epcot Forever” will include fireworks, laser effects and a soundtrack of park favorites.
After the show, Guests are invited to board a wooden vessel and set sail for a tour of Arendelle at the Frozen Ever After attraction in the Norway pavilion. This dessert party, like the others, will see a price increase. Through November 30, the cost is $79 per adult and $47 per child. Beginning December 1, the ticket prices increase to $99 for adults and $59 for kids.
Fantasmic! Dessert and Viewing Experience at Hollywood Studios
If you love Mickey, chocolate-covered strawberries, cheese and crackers and a choice of alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages, you’ll love the Fantasmic! Dessert and Viewing Experience. Head to the Fantasmic! Theater and pick up your sweets and treats. Then take a seat in the special reserved viewing area and get ready for a spectacular display of fantasy created with lasers, fireworks, walls of water and more! Will Mickey wake up from his nightmare before it’s too late?
We are happy to say that this dessert party has no planned increase in pricing at this time. The cost for this experience is $39 for adults and $19 for kids, and it looks like those prices are firm for now.
