“Hocus Pocus” fans–get ready to run amuck! Freeform is planning to break its own record of broadcasting the cult classic film “Hocus Pocus” by scheduling it to air 27 times over the month of October.
Yes–you read that right. Freeform is planning to air “Hocus Pocus” 27 times over the month of October, breaking the cable channel’s previous record of airing the film over and over again within the period of a month. This exciting news comes after the cable channel’s reveal of its incredible success with its “31 Nights of Halloween” last year. According to Freeform, last year was Freeform’s most-watched October in three years as they finished the month as the No. 1 cable network in Women 18-34 and Females 12-34.

This news also comes only a year after the cable channel’s highly successful “Hocus Pocus 25th Anniversary Halloween Bash,” which not only inspired this spooktacular amount of broadcasts but also an all-new Halloween special. As per a release by Freeform, the cable channel is currently working on continuing last year’s celebration of everything vicious and vile with a new original special, “Halloween Extravaganza Bash.”
The channel states that this is only a working title. However, it is said to be a celebration of Halloween’s biggest pop culture moments. Additionally, it will honor the icons of the season, celebrating the most beloved movies, TV shows, and music artists who have become synonymous with Halloween.

In addition to this new special, fans of the cable channel can also look forward to another movie joining in on the scary fun of Halloween. In celebration of its 25th anniversary, the classic hit “Ghostbusters” and its sequel “Ghostbusters 2,” as well as the “Scream” trilogy will also be airing throughout the month. These will join other favorites of “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” and “The Adams Family.”
