Dooney & Bourke is coming out with an all-new handbag collection inspired by “The Lion King,” and this one will have every Disney fan roaring with excitement. Plus with all of the other “The Lion King”-inspired merchandise and activities coming soon to Walt Disney World, we don’t know why we haven’t booked our next trip yet.
Disney just shared details of perhaps the most adorable (and wild!) handbag collection we’ve seen yet. An all-new Disney and Dooney & Bourke collaboration is hitting the shelves of Walt Disney World merchandise locations this week starting July 19, the day “The Lion King” hits theaters! The collection of purses includes a larger tote (which is totally Mary Poppins-approved), a medium-sized handbag, and a small crossbody that is perfect for all your theme park essentials. As usual, Dooney & Bourke handbags can be pretty pricey and range upwards of around $200 per bag, so we suggest budgeting for these in advance before your trip. There’s no word yet for when these will be available online on shopDisney, but we’ll update you as soon as we know more.

But that’s not all. There’s plenty of other merchandise available to celebrate “The Lion King”! Some of these items are available throughout Walt Disney World, but you can find them all at various merchandise locations throughout Disney’s Animal Kingdom. In addition to awesome new merchandise, Walt Disney World has created a scavenger hunt inspired by “The Lion King.” Guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom can find hidden characters throughout Harambe Village in the Africa section of the theme park. You can pick up the map at Outpost, Discovery Trading Company, Island Mercantile, and Mombasa Marketplace. After you hunt for your favorite “The Lion King” characters, return your map to Mombasa Marketplace in Harambe or The Outpost Shop in the Oasis by September 28, 2019 (or while supplies last) for a surprise.
