The Happiest Place on Earth just got a little bigger! No, Disney isn’t building a new hotel anytime soon. But Marriott sure is! The very first J.W. Marriott in Orange County is opening in just a few months, and it’s just a short walk away from Disneyland Resort.
That’s right. Beginning in 2020, you will have another amazing hotel option for your Disneyland vacation. When it opens in February, the J.W. Marriott Anaheim Resort will be just a 9 minute drive or 18 minute walk away from Disneyland, so you can stay in luxury while still being a short distance from the magic. And with the amazing amenities that this J.W. Marriott provides, you’ll never feel like you left the Disney magic at all when you go back to your room after a day of theme park fun. The hotel will have 466 rooms, including 19 suites with designated quiet floors; a rooftop bar and lounge; fitness center and outdoor pool; and a yoga/zen retreat room that Marriott says will give guests a peaceful retreat away from the fun and excitement of nearby attractions, a.k.a. Disneyland. Rooms will range from $200-500, so there is a price option for various vacationers’ budgets.
Perhaps the best part about this new hotel is that it’s part of Marriott-Bonvoy, meaning you can become a member and use your Marriott-Bonvoy rewards to get free nights, great rates, free wifi, and other awesome services. This is a great way to make a Disneyland Resort vacation affordable. Plus, the new hotel opens in February, just one month after the innovative attraction Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opens at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
