Disney has officially debuted a brand-new Tower of Terror location at one theme park.
In recent years, some fans have feared that Disney plans to gradually phase the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror brand out of its parks. With Disney California Adventure shuttering its version to make way for Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! in 2017, the greatest concern has been that Disney will drop the versions in Paris and Orlando in favor of similar replacements.

However, its latest move in one park doubles down on the ride’s presence, which hopefully means there is plenty of Twilight Zone fun (or frights) left to come.
Disney Debuts New Tower of Terror Addition
Today (January 31), a new shopping experience debuted at Walt Disney Studios Park.
The store is located just behind The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, replacing the space once reserved for paper Fastpass distribution (RIP).
🚨On Saturday, January 31, 2026, a new shopping experience will open its doors a stone’s throw from The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ attraction. Designed by Walt Disney Imagineering Paris in collaboration with the Design & Delivery teams, this place will link the glamorous atmosphere of World Premiere Plaza and the plant universe of Adventure Way.🛍️

While it’s not overtly Tower of Terror-themed, small touches link to the attraction’s old Hollywood aesthetic, such as flower pots and black-and-white photographs of the store’s “opening day.”
Former Walt Disney Imagineer Jim Shull praised the addition on X, formerly Twitter. “Congratulations to the Disney #Imagineering team to deliver to guests a clever and appropriate design for the former fast pass facility,” he wrote. “Flower shops of this type were common in the Hollywood of the 1930s.”
But not everyone is impressed.
“Imagineering used to be the standard, now even Epic Universe has better shop theming,” one user wrote, sharing images of Disneyland Paris stores of times gone by. “We used to be a real country.”

“The outside is lovely and great, but the inside sucks,” another user wrote. “The sweets/merch is very out of place in that area and the random second hand decor doesnt match a flower shop or the era.”
One said, “Lovely but damn small. Did we really need to limit it to the existing perimeter of the old Fastpass kiosks? Is DLP so desperate for savings?”
Others argued that it would have proven more impressive if it had fully embraced the Tower of Terror theme.

“If it were at least unique Tower of Terror candy,” another lamented.
Paris’ take on the attraction stands apart in both tone and storytelling. At Walt Disney Studios Park, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror leans harder into horror, with darker lighting, sharper drop sequences, and three randomized storylines introduced in 2019 that make each ride cycle feel less predictable.
The Countdown Begins For Disney Adventure World
The opening of the new store comes less than two months before the debut of Disney Adventure World.

Walt Disney Studios Park’s new identity will usher in the opening of World of Frozen – a land already open in various forms at Hong Kong Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea – as well as a brand-new attraction inspired by Tangled (2010), Raiponce Tangled Spin.
Adventure Way will border Tower of Terror, featuring a “picturesque new promenade” and “tranquil gardens inspired by Disney and Pixar stories.” At the end of the area, guests will find Adventure Bay, a new lake designed to host the new nighttime spectacular, Disney Cascade of Lights.
This “epic journey brought to life over the lake” combines “breathtaking fireworks, water screen projections, drone displays and visual effects,” inspired by the likes of Moana, Hercules, Mulan, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
