Entering only its third year, Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios has struggled with its identity and offerings during its first two years. During its inaugural year, Disney struggled with long lines and limited offerings at the after-hours Christmas event. However, as the parties continued, things got better.

Last year, Jollywood Nights seemed to find its groove, but fans were still a little put off by their initial offerings, and while the parties did sell out, the tickets did not go nearly as fast as those at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom. While that can easily be chalked up to the well-established Magic Kingdom Christmas event, Jollywood Nights has still struggled to find its footing.
This year, Disney introduced new food offerings, character meet-and-greets, merchandise, and a new ornament for attendees to attract a larger audience. While that has worked with Jollywood Nights’ first date selling out earlier than last year, another significant issue will plague the event this year: construction has created a lack of open attractions during the event.

Disney announced the attractions that will be open during Jollywood Nights, and the list is a little underwhelming. While it’s easy to say that this makes the after-hours Christmas party less desirable, that’s simply not the case. Here’s the list of attractions that will be open during the event:
- Slinky Dog Dash
- Alien Swirl Saucers
- Toy Story Mania!
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
- Star Tour–The Adventures Continue
- The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
- Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway

If you’re counting, that’s only nine attractions open during the pricey party. If your goal is to ride everything that’s offered at the party, that shouldn’t be that hard in the hours you have at Hollywood Studios. However, Jollywood Nights isn’t necessarily about the rides.
Besides the rides, Disney also offers Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along, Disney Holidays in Hollywood, Glisten!, and the Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club. While the ride lineup looks underwhelming compared to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Jollywood Nights is for adults and has so much more to offer than rides.

So, if you’re looking for short lines at your favorite ride, you’ll probably find that at Jollywood Nights, but don’t skip out on everything else. There’s a lot to see and do.
