Your chosen Disney Park app is about to have a live-tracking service to improve the Mobile Order experience. Here’s what we know.

Mobile Ordering options have skyrocketed across Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort in recent years. Initially tested at select Quick Service locations, guests responded overwhelmingly positively to the offering. The Disney parks quickly rolled out a Mobile Order option at dozens of restaurants throughout Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and Disney Resort hotels.

Now, Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort are rolling out an update to Mobile Ordering aimed at making the experience smoother on iPhones. According to Mac Rumors, the Disneyland Resort app and Walt Disney World Resort’s My Disney Experience app are adding support for Apple’s Live Activities feature.

The feature is already available at select locations throughout the Disney parks. The service allows guests to track their Mobile Order on their lock screen or in Dynamic Island without opening the Disneyland Resort app or the My Disney Experience app.

The lock screen window displays the order number, pickup location, and live order status. Guests can also click the “I’m Here, Prepare My Order” button on this screen when they arrive at the restaurant.

This feature is only available to Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort guests with any iPhone model updated to iOS 16.1 or later. Dynamic Island is only available to iPhone 14 Pro, all iPhone 15, and all iPhone 16 models.
