As Walt Disney World Resort leaks more information about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the Louisiana royals are scheduled to reveal something huge about the Splash Mountain retheme during The Walt Disney Company’s upcoming Annual Shareholders meeting.
Magic Kingdom Park’s version of the log flume ride is further along in construction than Disneyland Park’s. Walt Disney Imagineers were spotted testing the attraction multiple times throughout the end of March. As the Princess and the Frog (2009) soundtrack echoes from the attraction through Frontierland, Disney cast members installed signs alerting guests that it wouldn’t officially open until summer 2024.
Anika Noni Rose (Tiana), Bruno Campos (Naveen), Jenifer Lewis (Mama Odie), and Michael Leon Wooley (Louis the Alligator) are all returning to the Bayou for an exhilarating adventure that takes place after the events of the Disney Princess film. After opening her dream restaurant, Tiana expanded to an employee-owned food co-op and needs guests’ help crafting the perfect recipe! Much to fans’ dismay, Keith David (Dr. Facilier) is not expected to appear on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
On Tuesday, Disney Parks Blog revealed the official Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction poster and six more animal critters that guests will encounter on the rethemed log flume ride. They include Octavia the Bobcat, Pawpaw the Bobcat, Claude the Louisiana Black Bear, Bernadette the Louisiana Black Bear, Sebastían the Louisiana Black Bear, and Phina the Gray Fox.
With all these exciting announcements, Walt Disney World Resort guests are eager to step on board Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. On Wednesday, Disney CEO Bob Iger is expected to reveal the attraction’s official opening date during the Annual Shareholders meeting.
