1A concerned guest recently filmed a roach crawling in a food prep area at Disneyland Park’s Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen. Disneyland Resort cast members worked nearby, hand-crafting chocolate and other treats for guests.

Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen are located on the left side of Main Street, U.S.A., right before you reach Sleeping Beauty Castle. The large storefronts are interconnected and carry every sweet delicacy guests could dream of!
“Sink your sweet tooth into an old-fashioned array of confectionaries!” Disneyland Resort writes. “Peek inside the glass-walled kitchen to see our candy makers at work before choosing from chocolate-covered strawberries, caramel apples, toffee, fudge and so much more!”
Roaches on the Loose
On Tuesday night, Disneyland Resort guest @nathan.acero shared this video of a cockroach climbing up a window at Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen. Just feet away are recently prepped snack bags, and Disney cast members working at other stations.

Disney cast members confirmed that the water roaches are everywhere at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.
“As a former jungle cruise skipper those would be crawling everywhere at night,” @nickeskie5 commented.
“They’re everywhere at the park,” @kristinekreations echoed. “Trust me.”
Most commenters were disgusted by the insect.
“Went to Disneyland in July 2023 and there were TONS of roaches and litter on attractions,” @ccwhatididthere wrote. “Fences had graffiti. Disney’s gone downhill BAD.”
“It’s NOT the happiest place I’m the world…… NOPE,” @emejia2195 agreed.
“Chocolate covered roaches, yummy!” @hernandezs300 quipped. “Give it a try.”
“I know the worker at the end saw that,” @fattiboombati said.
But others felt the roach wasn’t a concern.
“Y’all really be acting like Disneyland isn’t OUTSIDE with tons of food & snacks,” @isisbabyyyy argued. “Obviously there’s gonna be a bug or two.”
“Imagine if all these ppl saw what restaurants they ate at during the night😂🤣😂🤣,” @_bipbopbipbop_ agreed. “Every place has nasty stuff, suck it up.”
This isn’t the first sanitation concern at Disneyland Park this week. On Sunday, an intoxicated man stripped naked on “it’s a small world,” swimming in the ride water and climbing on props.
Hundreds of guests witnessed the incident as he was carried out of the Disney theme park covered in a tarp. The 27-year-old was arrested and charged with abuse of a controlled substance and indecent exposure.
