One of the theme parks featured at Walt Disney World is set to close multiple times this week.

The Walt Disney World Resort is full of incredible experiences, allowing guests to create magical memories that will last a lifetime. There are so many aspects of a Walt Disney World vacation, but a alrge portion of that “magic” all comes from the four main theme parks. From Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios to EPCOT and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, guests will be able to find and explore a wide range of rides, attractions, restaurants, shows, activities, and interactive experiences.
However, if guests grow tired of the four core theme parks, they have a lot of other options to explore as well.

Guests seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of the four theme parks in Walt Disney World can visit Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, two fantastic water parks. While some guests may think these parks aren’t as fun or as well-themed as somewhere like Magic Kingdom, they would be entirely wrong. Both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach feature some of Walt Disney Imagineering’s best work, with the team at Disney creating some truly stunning and captivating scenery, locations, and attractions.
Unfortunately, the fun will be coming to an end soon, with Blizzard Beach set to close this week.

It has just been confirmed that Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park will be shutting down beginning on November 28, 2023. This closure is due to low temperatures in the Orlando area. Disney’s Blizzard Beach will also be closed on November 29, 2023. If all goes well, Blizzard Beach will reopen to guests on November 30. Starting all the way back in 2020, Disney began operating its water parks on a rotation, meaning only one is available to guests at a time. Each year, one shuts down, and one opens. At the time of publishing this article, Blizzard Beach is the water park that is open, and Typhoon Lagoon remains closed for the season.
This means that for at least two days, no water park will be open on the Walt Disney World Resort property.

Disney’s Blizzard Beach is a fantastic place to spend a “chill” day, with the water park featuring rides and attractions suitable for all guests. Blizzard Beach also features one of, if not the scariest rides at Walt Disney World in the form of Summit Plumet. Summit Plummet is a free-fall water slide that stands 120 feet tall and sends guests down at speeds 60 miles per hour. It’s the third-tallest and fastest free-fall slide in the world.
Disney’s Blizzard Beach got a few upgrades when it reopened late last year, with the water park now featuring elements and theming from Disney’s Frozen franchise. For more information about Blizzard Beach, you can visit the official website.
