First look at ‘Tronorail’ toy to be released among collectibles at Disney D23 Expo Dream Store in August

The Tronorail glides along, a striking blue train adorned with an electrifying Tron-inspired motorcycle graphic glowing along its side and mirrored on the polished track below—a dazzling centerpiece treasured by Disney D23 Expo guests and avid Tronorail collectors alike.

In today’s installment of D23’s Disney Geek, a first look was offered of one of the highly-anticipated collectibles to be released at the 2011 D23 Expo in August: the Tronorail.

The new monorail toy is based off of the promotionally-wrapped Tron: Legacy monorail that’s been traveling around Walt Disney World for more than a year. And the toy version appears to be a must-have for any Tron fan:

Limited-edition blue Disney monorail toy styled as the iconic Tronorail, featuring TRON light cycle graphics and the movie logo, accented with sleek gray bands—a must-have collectible that debuted at the D23 Expo Dream Store for Disney fans and theme park enthusiasts.

The limited-edition “Tronorail” toy will be sold in the D23 Expo Dream Store at the event in August at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Also making its debut in the D23 Expo Dream Store will be the new Mark VII Disneyland Monorail toy:

The iconic red and white Tronorail glides along its sleek gray elevated track, showcased in profile on a crisp white background—a collectible centerpiece celebrating Disneyland’s futuristic monorails, perfect for Disney Parks enthusiasts and D23 Expo collectors seeking exclusive Disney memorabilia.

In addition, plenty of D23 Expo logo merchandise will be available, including apparel, headwear, pins, and Vinylmation:

Local artist Noah has also been commissioned to create “Remember… it all started with a Mouse,” a graphic celebrating this year’s themes:

Disney Theme Park Merchandise will debut some of its newest releases, including the Disneyland Vintage Collection, which pays tribute to attractions from yesteryear. Plus the latest releases from Disney licensees and artists, including Precious Moments, Robert Olszewski, Jim Shore, and more will be unveiled. D23 Expo Anniversary Collection pays tribute to this year’s historical anniversaries of the beloved Disney classic films One Hundred and One Dalmatians, Alice in Wonderland, and Dumbo. Each day of the Expo, the Dream Store will release limited quantities of commemorative merchandise from each of these films.

Exclusive Jewelry will feature classic Disney icons and characters, such as the Sleeping Beauty Castle, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Tinker Bell, among others. Acme Archives Limited will show of the latest releases from Disney•Pixar, Disney Studio Art, Disney Limited and Disney Underground.

And for more buying fun, the D23 Expo 2011 Live and Silent Auction will offer Disney enthusiasts the opportunity to bid on unique experiences, tours, artwork, props, and more—specially designed for Disney fans. The D23 Expo 2011 Live and Silent Auction takes place Saturday, August 20, 2011 and require a separate ticket. But the Dream Store will be open for all attending fans throughout the Expo.
