There is a specific kind of excitement that comes with Disneyland Halloween season, and it is different from what you feel at any other time of year. The park smells like pumpkin spice and candy corn. The decorations are genuinely beautiful in a way that Disney does better than anyone else. And on select nights at Disney California Adventure, the whole thing becomes something even more special when Oogie Boogie Bash takes over after dark.

The separately-ticketed after-hours Halloween party at Disney California Adventure has become one of the most anticipated events on the Disneyland Resort calendar, and for good reason. It is the kind of night that Disney fans plan vacations around, booking flights and hotels months in advance just to be there. The event sells out. Sometimes quickly. And the entertainment, characters, and exclusive experiences it brings to California Adventure are genuinely different from what you get during a regular park day.
Disney has now officially revealed the details for Oogie Boogie Bash 2026, including dates, ticket sale windows, and a headline piece of new entertainment that is going to make a lot of Haunted Mansion fans very happy. Here is everything you need to know before tickets go on sale.

When Oogie Boogie Bash 2026 Is Happening

The event runs on 33 select dates from August 18 through October 31, 2026, at Disney California Adventure. Party hours are 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., but ticket holders can enter the park as early as 3 p.m., giving you several hours to explore before the official festivities begin.
The full date calendar runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays through most of the season, with the final night landing on Halloween itself, Saturday, October 31. September 27 is designated as a special D23 Members-only evening, available exclusively to members of D23: The Official Disney Fan Club. Details on D23 ticket access can be found at D23.com.
The full list of 2026 dates: August 18, 20, 23, 25, 27, 30; September 1, 3, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 27, 29; October 1, 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27, 29, and 31.
When and How to Get Tickets

Tickets go on sale June 18, 2026, no earlier than 9 a.m. PST for the general public. Pre-sale opportunities are available for Magic Key Holders before that date.
Inspire Magic Key Holders get first access on June 16, 2026, with a limited number of pre-sale tickets available. All Magic Key Holders can purchase during the pre-sale on June 17, 2026, also with limited availability. General public tickets open June 18, 2026.
The D23 Members-only night on September 27 goes on sale June 16, 2026, through D23.com.
Given how quickly Oogie Boogie Bash dates have sold out in previous years, the pre-sale windows matter. If you hold a Magic Key, taking advantage of the June 16 or 17 access is worth doing rather than waiting for general sale on the 18th.
What Is New for 2026: Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake

The headline new entertainment addition for 2026 is “Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake — A Haunted Mansion Street Party,” and it sounds like exactly the kind of thing Haunted Mansion fans have been waiting for.
The new street party brings iconic moments from The Haunted Mansion directly to the streets of California Adventure. Madame Leota hosts a spirited séance and swinging wake filled with happy haunts, ghostly dancing, and ghoulish delight, with multiple show-stopping moments throughout. The event description promises all 999 ghosts, which sets expectations at an appropriately high level.
For guests who want an enhanced viewing experience, the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party is available as an add-on purchase. This year’s Dessert Party will feature a new selection of treats themed to Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Reservations and additional details will open on Disneyland.com later this summer.
The Rest of the Oogie Boogie Bash Experience

Beyond the new street party, the event brings back the experiences that have made it one of the most beloved after-hours offerings at any Disney park.
Villains Grove transforms Redwood Creek Challenge Trail into an enchanted nighttime world inspired by Disney villains including the Queen of Hearts and Dr. Facilier. Walking through it at night with the lighting and atmospheric design Disney creates for the event is unlike anything else at the resort.
Trick-or-treating returns along immersive treat trails throughout the park, with themed bites also available exclusively during party hours. Not-often-seen villains and Disney characters dressed in Halloween costumes appear throughout California Adventure for photo opportunities that you genuinely cannot get during a regular park visit.
And at select times during the evening, Ichabod Crane makes his way through California Adventure with the Headless Horseman in pursuit, which remains one of the most memorable and genuinely eerie moments the event produces each year.
How Oogie Boogie Bash Fits Into a Disneyland Vacation
If you are building a Disneyland trip around Oogie Boogie Bash, the planning sequence matters.
Tickets sell out. Some dates go faster than others, with Saturdays and October dates typically moving quickest. Halloween night itself, October 31, is historically one of the first to go. If your trip has flexibility on dates, building your travel around a Tuesday or Thursday in September gives you more time to lock in the pieces. If you have your heart set on October or a Sunday, move on tickets as early as your access window allows.
The 3 p.m. early entry is worth using. Arriving at California Adventure in the afternoon gives you time to ride attractions, grab food, and settle into the park before party programming begins at 6. The event runs until 11 p.m., which is a solid five hours of dedicated party time on top of the afternoon access.
Hotel planning around Oogie Boogie Bash is also worth doing early. Disneyland Resort hotels and Good Neighbor Hotels fill up during the Halloween season, particularly for weekend dates and October. Booking accommodations at the same time you secure your party tickets gives you the cleanest path to a fully confirmed trip.
For families with kids, the event is designed to work across ages. Trick-or-treating, character meet-and-greets, Villains Grove, and the street party all offer different entry points depending on what your group is most excited about.
Oogie Boogie Bash is one of those events that tends to exceed expectations the first time you go and becomes something you plan around for every year after. If a 2026 Disneyland trip is anywhere in your future and Halloween season is a possibility, this is the version of that trip worth building.
