Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been going through a huge transformation lately. Between the ongoing changes around Animation Courtyard, the arrival of new entertainment offerings, updated character experiences, and the continued push toward more family-focused experiences, the park feels very different than it did even a couple of years ago.

For families with younger kids, especially Disney Junior fans, that shift has become even more noticeable in recent months. Disney has quietly added more interactive offerings aimed directly at younger audiences, helping balance out a park that has increasingly leaned into thrill rides like Star Wars attractions and other major headliners that often come with intimidating wait times.
Now, another new character experience has officially joined the lineup at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and it is already catching the attention of guests walking through Commissary Lane.
Bitsy from Disney Junior’s SuperKitties is now officially meeting guests inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The new meet-and-greet location sits near Red Carpet Dreams, directly across from ABC Commissary, in the recently updated Disney Junior character greeting space. According to reports, Bitsy alternates appearances with Sofia the First throughout the day.
For many Disney fans, this is one of those additions that may seem small at first glance, but it actually says a lot about where Hollywood Studios is heading.
Disney Junior Is Becoming a Bigger Presence at Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios has always had somewhat of an identity struggle.
At one point, the park leaned heavily into behind-the-scenes filmmaking experiences. Then came the thrill ride era with attractions like Tower of Terror and Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster. After that, Disney started introducing larger immersive lands like Toy Story Land and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Now, the park feels like a blend of everything at once.

That is why Disney Junior offerings have become increasingly important. They help create balance.
Not every family visiting Walt Disney World wants to spend the entire day racing between Lightning Lane reservations or standing in line for major thrill attractions. A lot of parents simply want places where younger children can safely interact with characters they recognize from Disney+.
That is exactly where Bitsy fits in.
SuperKitties has become a surprisingly popular Disney Junior series among younger viewers. The show focuses on four superhero kittens protecting the fictional world of Kittydale while promoting teamwork and kindness.
Bitsy, specifically, has become one of the breakout characters thanks to her energetic personality and super speed abilities.
Disney clearly recognizes the popularity of the series, especially as Disney+ continues fueling younger audiences toward newer Disney Junior content instead of older legacy programming.
The Meet-and-Greet Location Makes Sense
One interesting part of this addition is where Disney decided to place the experience.
Instead of tucking Bitsy away in a temporary corner or using a roaming character format, Disney gave the character a fairly visible location on Commissary Lane. The area sits beside Mickey and Minnie’s Red Carpet Dreams meet-and-greet and directly across from ABC Commissary.
That placement matters.
Commissary Lane has quietly become one of the more important pathways inside Hollywood Studios lately, especially with nearby changes tied to the larger Walt Disney Studios Courtyard updates happening around the park.

The area also provides something Disney desperately needs during busy summer days: additional entertainment distribution.
Character lines naturally absorb crowds. When Disney adds new meet-and-greet offerings, it helps spread guests across the park instead of concentrating everyone into the same major attraction queues.
That becomes especially useful during periods when Hollywood Studios is already seeing pressure from new entertainment offerings, preview events, and seasonal crowds.
Families Are Always Looking for Lower-Stress Experiences
There is another reason additions like this matter more than people realize.
Hollywood Studios can honestly be a difficult park for younger children.
Slinky Dog Dash may have a lower height requirement than some major attractions, but wait times can still explode early in the morning. Rise of the Resistance can feel overwhelming for smaller kids. Tower of Terror and Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster are obviously not family attractions for everyone.
Parents often need quieter moments during the day.
Character meet-and-greets help fill that gap.
They give families something that feels personal without requiring intense planning. There is no worrying about whether a child can handle a ride system, no stress about motion sickness, and no concern about height restrictions ruining the day.
Instead, kids simply get to meet someone they recognize from television.
For younger Disney Junior fans, that interaction can easily become the biggest memory of the trip.
Disney Continues Expanding Character Offerings
Disney has quietly increased its focus on meet-and-greet opportunities across Walt Disney World lately.
While some longtime fans still miss older character experiences that disappeared over the years, Disney has clearly realized that character interactions remain one of the easiest ways to improve guest satisfaction.
They also move quickly on social media.
Parents love posting photos of their children meeting characters, especially newer additions that are not available everywhere. That alone creates huge online engagement for Disney.

Bitsy also helps Disney continue refreshing Hollywood Studios without needing a massive attraction investment.
Not every update has to involve a billion-dollar expansion project. Sometimes smaller additions help a park feel more alive.
The same strategy has worked well with limited-time entertainment offerings, rotating Disney Junior appearances, and seasonal interactions.
Meet Times and What Guests Should Know
According to the current schedule, Bitsy appears several times throughout the day, including:
- 10:30 a.m.
- 11:30 a.m.
- 12:30 p.m.
- 1:30 p.m.
- 2:30 p.m.
Sofia the First appears in the same location between Bitsy’s appearances. Disney is also encouraging guests to check the My Disney Experience app for updated schedules, since entertainment times can always change.
Right now, the meet-and-greet is expected to continue through at least the summer season, though Disney has not officially confirmed a long-term end date yet.
That uncertainty may actually push more families to prioritize the experience sooner rather than later.
Disney frequently tests newer character interactions before deciding whether they should become permanent fixtures. If guest demand stays strong, it would not be surprising to see Bitsy remain around much longer.
And honestly, this feels like exactly the type of addition Hollywood Studios needs right now.
Not every new offering has to be massive. Sometimes giving younger guests one more reason to smile is enough to make the entire park feel more complete.
