Fresh off closing the Disney Store, one Disney resort is preparing for a resort-wide sale.
For better or worse, Disney parks are always changing. As The Walt Disney Company pours $60 billion into its theme parks worldwide, everywhere from Disneyland Resort to Shanghai Disneyland is feeling the benefit.
However, welcoming new additions to the parks often requires saying farewell to a few beloved fixtures. In the past year alone, we’ve bid adieu to the likes of Muppet*Vision 3D and Star Wars Launch Bay at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, “It’s Tough to Be a Bug!” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and both Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island at Magic Kingdom.

Over at Disneyland Paris, the latest farewell involved the Disney Store. Renowned as one of the final kitschy Disney Stores still in operation, the gift shop – which is located within the resort’s Disney Springs or Downtown Disney equivalent, Disney Village – met its demise over the weekend to make way for a new merchandise spot known as Disney Wonders.
While guests may have one less spot to shop at Disneyland Paris, the good news is that shopping is about to get a heck of a lot cheaper at the resort.
For a few weeks, at least.

Disney Parks Prepare For Resort-Wide Sale
Disneyland Paris will kick off its winter sale tomorrow (January 7). This sale comes as part of a program from the French government, which runs two official sales periods per year. Winter sales traditionally start on the second Wednesday of January at 8 a.m. (or the first Wednesday after January 12).
Meanwhile, the summer sales usually start on the last Wednesday of June at 8 a.m. (or the Wednesday before if the last Wednesday of the month falls after June 28).

To sweeten the deal for its passholders, Disneyland Paris is this year offering early access to World of Disney. Guests with a Disneyland Pass will be able to enter Disney Village’s largest store one hour before other guests on January 7, meaning they’ll be the first to explore this season’s bargains.
Passholders can access the store from 8 a.m. on Wednesday by showing their pass at the entrance. Non-passholders may enter from 9 a.m.
Guests can also find discounted merchandise beyond World of Disney, with stores inside Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park also participating in the sales. Previous sales have seen items such as Spirit Jerseys, mugs, hats, and hoodies slashed by as much 70%.
Other Upcoming Passholder Perks at Disneyland Paris
This perk forms part of the Disneyland Pass Adventure Rendez-Vous offering, which will see passholders enjoy a series of surprises between now and the opening of Disney Adventure World (currently Walt Disney Studios Park) in March.

Another perk offered under the series includes a French movie marathon of Frozen (2013) and Frozen 2 (2019) at the Discoveryland Theater on January 10 and 11. Passholders are also expected to receive invitations to preview World of Frozen ahead of its official opening on March 29, 2026.
Those visiting the park this week should bundle up tight, as Disneyland Paris is, quite literally, frozen right now. France has experienced heavy snowfall, with cast members taking to the parks armed with mini plows as attractions such as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad found themselves coated in the white stuff yesterday.

Lake Disney was also partially frozen yesterday, while World of Frozen fittingly received its first major snowfall.
