Disney has shared an update after closing its Ratatouille attraction.
The ride, which takes guests through Gusteau’s famous Parisian restaurant in rat-shaped vehicles, has long been a favorite with park visitors. In October, however, it was closed to all theme park guests after Disney announced plans for a major transformation.

Now, it has revealed when it will reopen – and what guests can expect when it does.
Disney’s ‘Ratatouille’ Ride Prepares For Transformation
Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy (literally translated as “Remy’s Totally Zany Adventure”) first opened at Walt Disney Studios Park in Disneyland Paris in July 2014. The ride marked Pixar’s first major theme park attraction in Europe and was built inside a full-scale recreation of Place de Rémy, designed to evoke the streets of Paris.
The attraction uses trackless ride vehicles shaped like rat cars, combined with 3D screens, physical sets, heat, water, and scent effects. Guests are shrunk to the size of Rémy and race through Gusteau’s kitchen while dodging oversized props, flames, and the restaurant’s frantic staff.

A second version opened at EPCOT in Walt Disney World in October 2021, inside the France pavilion within World Showcase. While nearly identical in layout and technology, the Florida version is themed as Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, with minor differences in queue, façade, and story presentation tailored to EPCOT’s World Showcase.
EPCOT’s version of the ride temporarily closed in November 2025 to strip away its 3D elements and introduce “brighter, sharper imagery.”
It’s also set to welcome new props and lighting enhancements in both the queue and ride over the next few months.
Paris Prepares to Reopen Its Version of Ratatouille
Now, it’s Walt Disney Studios Park’s turn.

Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy has also had its 3D removed during its closure, while its video quality is also being enhanced with new projectors. It will also add an enhanced queue with a new scene inspired by a Parisian artist’s studio, while new props are coming to the ride itself.
In other words, Disneyland Paris has condensed the gradual improvements heading to EPCOT’s version of the attraction into the space of a few months.
When Disney first closed the ride for its indefinite refurbishment, its only reopening timeframe was spring 2026. However, recent reports suggest that it will reopen on April 11, 2026.

Notably, this means the park will be one attraction down when it officially rebrands to Disney Adventure World.
On March 29, Walt Disney Studios Park will adopt its new name, plus open the long-awaited World of Frozen. The new land includes Frozen Ever After and new shopping and dining destinations.
In addition to World of Frozen, the first day of Disney Adventure World will also see the opening of Adventure Way, a promenade that leads to the park’s new lake, Adventure Bay. The latter will host the nighttime spectacular Disney Cascade of Lights, combining drones and projection technology to evoke the tales of iconic films such as Moana, Hercules, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Adventure Way will also feature Raiponce Tangled Spin – a spinner ride inspired by Tangled (2010) – and a new character dining spot, The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge.
