A guest was left feeling “violated” after an alleged theft in their hotel room on Disney property.
Even the magic of Mickey Mouse can’t prevent non-magical incidents at Disney’s theme parks and resorts worldwide. Over the course of this holiday season, guests have reported everything from stolen cars along the Disney Springs Hotel Plaza corridor to a fight within Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Now, another incident has been reported – this time, at a Disney hotel.
Guest Reports Suspected Theft at Disney Hotel
A guest took to Reddit earlier this week to claim that their hotel room on property was seemingly targeted in a theft.
“We arrived yesterday 11am, were lucky to be given early check in to our room at a Disney hotel,” the guest wrote. “We’d been travelling since 6pm the night before so we’re very happy as knackered. Unpacked and had a coffee. Put valuables in safe. We were nipping to Walt’s for dinner, one ride and back to hotel for sleep. Got back to room at 18:00. I couldn’t find my meds, which had been in a clear bag next to another clear bag of less important meds and my wash bag on the table.”

They went on to explain that they reported it the following morning, with the only sign of the medication left in their room being the clear plastic bag in which they were stored.
“Housekeeping had been in during the afternoon as the bin was emptied and had been put back under the table,” they wrote. “Reported to hotel management who advised I have to call 112 to have a doctor prescribe for me. Then concierge will drive me to a pharmacy and the hotel will cover prescription costs. We can’t do that until tomorrow as pharmacies are closed and the nearest open is an hours drive away.”
They added, “Absolutely fuming and feel violated. But it’s Christmas and I won’t/can’t let it affect our trip.”
The medication in question was opioids, for which the guest – who was visiting Disneyland Paris – needed to file paperwork in order to enter the country. “Yes I’m pissed at myself for not locking them away,” they wrote, “but we live and learn.”

Other guests shared similar stories from their time at Disneyland Paris hotels.
“We had this happen a few years ago,” one wrote. “We popped in to drop off luggage get changed and head to the parks in the morning, when we arrived back in the evening our room had been totally ransacked stripped. Front desk didn’t want to know told us we would have to file a police report.”
Another said, “This is interesting because when I last went, I’m certain housekeeping took my half-used pack of contraceptive pills that I left on the night stand, but I told myself I must be crazy because why would they do that, but I’ve since read multiple posts about people’s medication vanishing from the room.”

Hotels at Disneyland Paris
Disneyland Paris is home to a handful of hotels, each incorporating various elements of Disney IP, from subtle theming to fully immersive design. Disneyland Hotel leans into classic fairy-tale royalty, Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel doubles as a Marvel gallery, and Disney Newport Bay Club adopts a polished New England nautical style.
Elsewhere on property, Disney Sequoia Lodge draws from American national parks with Bambi nods (and is set to undergo an extensive refurbishment in 2026), Disney Hotel Cheyenne evokes a Toy Story-era Western town, and Disney Hotel Santa Fe features Cars theming.

Disney Davy Crockett Ranch, which sits further away from the parks than the other hotels, offers standalone woodland cabins. These have received a massive refresh as of late, introducing new Donald and Daisy Duck/Junior Woodchucks themes.
Guests have shared other gripes with Disneyland Paris hotels over the years, including the decision to block non-hotel guests from the Disneyland Hotel in the fall. Guests have also criticized the cleanliness of the resort’s hotel rooms.
