It’s not just the theme parks at the Disneyland Resort–Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park–that are undergoing change in 2025 and beyond.

The Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort continues to evolve as one of Anaheim’s premier spots for shopping, dining, and entertainment, no park ticket required. The reimagined west end now embraces a sleek mid-century modern aesthetic, introducing fresh culinary experiences and design updates throughout the promenade.

Recent openings include the highly anticipated Din Tai Fung, Chef Carlos Gaytán’s trio of Mexican-inspired eateries (Paseo, Céntrico, and Tiendita), and the new Parkside Market food hall, featuring Seoul Sister, Sip & Sonder, and GG’s Chicken Shop. Guests can also explore updated retail options like the Disney Wonderful World of Sweets and Avengers Reserve, along with the D-Lander Shop for unique fashion finds.

More changes are still on the horizon, as construction continues on the district’s western gateway and several dining transformations take shape. Tortilla Jo’s closed earlier this year to make way for Arthur & Sons Steak & Bourbon and Pearl’s Roadside BBQ, both set to enhance the area’s dining landscape.

Whether stopping by after a day in the parks or visiting on a ticket-free evening, Downtown Disney offers a lively blend of entertainment, late-night eats, and signature Disney atmosphere–all within walking distance of the resort’s hotels and theme parks.

Sip & Sonder Rebrands Inside Downtown Disney’s Parkside Market

Downtown Disney District has made another quiet change to its dining lineup, this time inside the recently opened Parkside Market. The well-known café and bakery counter, formerly called Sip & Sonder, has closed under that name and reopened as Parkside Market Coffee, as reported by WDWNT. The update marks a subtle shift that is seemingly meant to better match the food hall’s overall identity and visual style–see more here.

A New Look for Parkside Market

The transformation is most noticeable on the exterior. The three-dimensional “Sip & Sonder” lettering that once stood out above the counter has been removed and replaced by fresh signage that fits Parkside Market’s bright, retro-inspired aesthetic.

Familiar Flavors, Fresh Branding

Despite the name change, the coffee bar’s offerings remain largely the same. Guests will still find many of Sip & Sonder’s popular menu items, including the vanilla dirty chai latte, honey lavender latte, cold brew, and iced oat milk latte. The café continues to serve kombucha on tap, a rotating seasonal slush, and an assortment of pastries such as cinnamon rolls and cake pops.

Early risers can also stop by between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. for breakfast sandwiches, created in collaboration with another Parkside Market favorite, GG’s Chicken Shop.

Inside the Food Hall

Parkside Market Coffee is located on the lower level of the food hall, sharing the space with Seoul Sister and GG’s Chicken Shop. Upstairs, visitors can enjoy drinks at Vista, a bar that features outdoor seating with a view of the lawn and stage area. The new layout encourages guests to explore multiple dining concepts within the same building, offering both quick bites and relaxed lounge spaces.

A Legacy of Sip & Sonder

Before the rebrand, Sip & Sonder was celebrated as a Black, women-owned café founded by Amanda-Jane Thomas and Shanita Nicholas. While Disney has not provided an official statement regarding the rebrand, the move appears to align with efforts to create a more cohesive Parkside Market identity. By consolidating branding under one name, the food hall strengthens its collective image while retaining the same quality offerings fans have come to enjoy.

For regulars and newcomers alike, the experience remains familiar–the same inviting coffee aroma, the same favorite drinks, just under a refreshed name that blends seamlessly into Downtown Disney’s growing dining scene.
