There’s just something about Halloween at Magic Kingdom that feels unlike anywhere else on Earth.
Maybe it’s the moment you step onto Main Street, U.S.A., and see the glow of jack-o’-lanterns perched high above the shops. Maybe it’s the crisp autumn garlands wrapped around lampposts or the sound of spooky-but-playful music echoing through the park. Whatever it is, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party captures it perfectly.
The party isn’t just a Halloween event—it’s an entire transformation of Magic Kingdom. After the sun dips behind Cinderella Castle, the lighting shifts, shadows grow deeper, and the Haunted Mansion takes on a starring role in the park’s eerie nighttime personality.
Guests in creative costumes stroll past trick-or-treat stations, catching glimpses of Disney Villains or rare characters who rarely make appearances outside this event.

What Makes the Party Special
Running on select nights from August 15 through October 31, 2025, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a separately ticketed event. That means shorter wait times for many attractions, plus exclusive entertainment, themed snacks, and one-of-a-kind photo opportunities you won’t find during regular park hours.
Guests can even enter the park as early as 4 p.m., giving them up to eight hours to enjoy the festivities.
This year’s lineup promises a mix of returning favorites and fresh experiences. The beloved Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade will once again step off at 8:15 p.m., giving families plenty of time to catch it before bedtime.
The parade is famous for its mix of cute and creepy, with Mickey, Minnie, and friends in costume, waltzing ghosts, and appearances from characters like Pain & Panic from Hercules and Vanellope from Wreck-It Ralph.
Over in front of Cinderella Castle, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular brings the Sanderson Sisters to life alongside Disney’s most mischievous villains.
Between the dancing, the spell-casting, and the crowd participation, it’s a show that manages to be both funny and deliciously wicked. And when the night edges toward its grand finale, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular lights up the castle and the skies. Hosted by Jack Skellington, the fireworks and projection show mixes story, music, and just the right amount of fright.

The Big Surprise for 2025
Disney has already revealed plenty to get excited about—but the real surprise this year comes in the form of new PhotoPass Magic Shots. While these have always been a fun extra, 2025’s lineup is one of the most creative yet, offering both returning classics and brand-new effects.
Guests will be able to find Magic Shot locations all over the park, from Main Street to Liberty Square. Favorites like “Oogie Boogie Moon,” “Lonesome Ghosts,” and “Halloween Balloons” are making a comeback.
But new this year are the Haunted Mansion Collage and the Spooky Cauldron, giving guests a chance to create photos that look like they’ve stepped straight into a scene from a ghostly storybook.
Whether you’re posing with festive pumpkins, brewing something mysterious in a cauldron, or having Zero from The Nightmare Before Christmas photobomb your picture, these Magic Shots add a personalized keepsake to the night’s memories.

Why It Matters
Changes like this might seem small compared to fireworks or parades, but they’re exactly the kind of detail that makes Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party stand out year after year. The event is built on layers of experiences—big and small—that work together to create an evening guests talk about long after they’ve left the park.
So whether you’re planning your first visit or your tenth, 2025’s party has plenty in store: new flavors to taste, new characters to meet, and now, new Magic Shots to capture it all. Just remember—tickets for many nights will sell out fast, so if you haven’t secured yours yet, you might want to make it a priority.
After all, in the world of Disney Halloween, the only thing scarier than a spooky ghost is missing out entirely.
Trick-or-Treating and Treat Trails
One of the biggest draws of the party is, of course, the candy. Over a dozen treat trail stops are scattered throughout Magic Kingdom, each marked on the party map. Cast Members in their festive Halloween costumes hand out handfuls of Mars Wrigley favorites like M&M’s, Snickers, and Starburst.
And Disney makes sure the fun is for everyone—guests with food allergies can pick up a teal bag and collect tokens to exchange for allergy-friendly treats at designated locations.
You don’t even need to be in costume to trick-or-treat, but many guests go all out. From adorable toddler-sized pumpkins to elaborate Disney Villain gowns, the costumes are as much a part of the experience as the candy itself.

Entertainment Beyond the Stage
While the shows and parade are big draws, some of the most charming moments happen in the smaller corners of the park. The Cadaver Dans, a barbershop quartet with a ghoulish twist, roam Frontierland serenading guests with spooky harmonies. Select rides take on seasonal overlays with special effects and music.
And in Storybook Circus, a dance party invites guests of all ages to show off their moves—this year featuring the music of Zombies 4 alongside other fan favorites from the Disney Channel Zombies franchise.
Of course, no Disney event would be complete without exclusive merchandise. The 2025 party features new shirts, spirit jerseys, pins, and collectibles, along with a themed treat bag and special Passholder-only items.
