Walt Disney World is full of incredible experiences around every corner, but the Magic Kingdom still reigns supreme. The legendary theme park features a mixture of classic dark rides like Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion as as well as intense roller coasters like Space Mountain and TRON Lightcycle / Run.
Despite its age, the Magic Kingdom continues to be the most visited theme park at Walt Disney World. There’s also a lot to look forward to, as the park is set to receive a number of overhauls and updates in the coming years.
This includes the construction of a new area inspired by Pixar’s Cars called Piston Peak, as well as a new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed bar and lounge.
However, the magic will be coming to an end far earlier than most guests expected in October.

Magic Kingdom closed several hours early back in January for a cast celebration event. This event is where Disney honors and awards its employees, known as cast members.
