One thing that Disney has always prided itself on is not only serving guests traditional theme park food. Sure, guests can get things like cheeseburgers, chicken nuggets, and cheese pizza, but Disney food is so much more than that! Take Disneyland, for instance — guests can dine on options like house-made pickles, hand-dipped corn dogs, Monte Cristo sandwiches, beignets, and fried chicken.

Walt Disney World Resort’s four theme parks also offer memorable meals, such as cheeseburger steam pods, a wide variety of DOLE Whips, corn dog nuggets, cheeseburger spring rolls, school bread, poutine, melt-in-your-mouth crêpes, and so much more.

When thinking about the Magic Kingdom, many guests don’t typically consider it a foodie park, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t some really great options there.

The Magic Kingdom has a variety of delicious DOLE Whip options, the aforementioned cheeseburger spring rolls, the incredibly popular crème brûlée croissant, just to name a few.

But tucked in the back of the Magic Kingdom, between Country Bear Musical Jamboree and Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café, lies one place that has some snacks that make it a real hidden gem. We are talking about Westward Ho!

Westward Ho is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with the lunch and dinner menu being the same. No matter what time of day you visit the snack stand, you are guaranteed to get something scrumptious.

For breakfast, guests can choose between the savory sausage and egg biscuit breakfast sandwich or the sweet Mickey-shaped bacon-pecan-caramel cinnamon roll. Word of warning, the cinnamon roll is HUGE, so you can definitely split it among a couple of people. And you can pair your breakfast with some Twinings tea, Joffrey’s cold brew, a frozen lemonade slushy, and more.

It’s important to note that the lunch and dinner items are more like snacks and not full meals, but you’ll still want to stop here anyway!

The candied bacon skewer is a must-try; it’s a piece of thick-cut bacon covered in brown sugar and cooked until the bacon has a great balance of crisp and chewy, and the brown sugar has caramelized to perfection.

Next up is an option for people who like their meals to have a little bit of a kick — the jalapeño poppers. The jalapeño poppers are stuffed with spicy nacho cheese and then fried up. They are also served with a side of ranch dressing.

The final yummy food option is mini corn dogs, much like the ones found at Casey’s Corner on Main Street, U.S.A.

Westward Ho is open daily, but the hours do fluctuate, so if you are planning on tasting one of their great options, make sure you check the My Disney Experience app to see what the hours are that day.

It is also important to note that Westward Ho does NOT accept the Disney Dining Plan, so guests will have to pay out of pocket. But we think that once you try it, you’ll be coming back year after year!
