Last summer, at the D23 Expo, which is held right outside the Disneyland Resort, Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro announced that the Magic Kingdom would be getting a brand-new nighttime parade. Fans had been waiting patiently and begging Disney for a nighttime parade at the Magic Kingdom since 2016, which was when the Main Street Electrical Parade had its final performance.
The new parade will be called Disney Starlight: Dream The Night Away. It will feature floats from some of Disney’s most iconic and beloved films, with characters surrounded by dazzling light displays.

So far, we have seen floats featuring characters from Peter Pan (1953), Frozen (2013), Pinocchio (1940), Moana (2016), and Encanto (2021). There will also be a float full of some of your favorite princesses, like Cinderella, Tiana, Belle, and Aurora.
And now, we are getting a first look at another brand-new float that will make its debut in the Starlight parade, one from the hit 2017 Pixar film, Coco!
Disney shared an image of the float, which features Miguel, Dante, and Pepita — the Rivera family’s alebrije, who takes care of and protects them in the land of the dead. Miguel is standing on the Marigold Bridge, with the land of the dead behind him.
Skull fireworks and mariachi music will make the parade float truly unforgettable.
