Credit: Inside The MagicEven though it seems like Christmas was just the other day, we are almost two weeks into the new year! That means that there is a lot to look forward to in the coming months at Walt Disney World Resort.
There is a new nighttime parade coming to the Magic Kingdom this summer, a new Zootopia (2016) show is expected to open in the winter at Animal Kingdom, and a new Villains show is opening this summer at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Over at EPCOT, it will be another year of exciting festivals, beginning with the International Festival of the Arts. This incredible festival is so much more than just paintings and sculptures. It also features the culinary arts, the musical arts, theater arts, and more!

While the Festival of the Arts has many highlights, one of them is the merchandise featuring everyone’s favorite purple dragon, Figment! Figment has always been the unofficial EPCOT ambassador, but Disney has recently started highlighting him a lot more, especially during festivals.
For the past few years, Disney has released a new Figment popcorn bucket, much to the delight of fans. The first year, it was a popcorn bucket that was a large, full-bodied Figment. Last year it was Figment sitting on top of the Imagination Pavilion, and it lit up.
And this year, Disney let a spark of Figment’s inspiration be their guide!

On January 8, Disney released a bunch of information about this year’s International Festival of the Arts. They released the foodie guide, which was full of mouthwatering dishes that will be available throughout the World Showcase and CommuniCore Plaza.
They also revealed this year’s amazing Figment popcorn bucket, which guests will absolutely want to get their hands on!
This new popcorn bucket features Figment sitting on a large lightbulb, which is full of multicolored popcorn. Just like last year, this new popcorn bucket will light up.

Also returning to this year’s Festival of the Arts are the Disney on BROADWAY Concert Series, The Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine, the Animation Academy, the Paint by Numbers Mural, and Figment’s Brush With the Masters Scavenger Hunt.
Festival of the Arts will begin on January 17 and will run through February 24, 2025. This event is open to all guests with valid admission to EPCOT.
