A Walt Disney World Resort guest was attacked over her parking spot last week. The Disney Park guest said she was harassed over taking up two parking spots at Disney’s Hollywood Studios–even though a Disney cast member instructed her to do so.

Parking at the Disney parks, Disney Resort hotels, and Disney Springs can be confusing–let’s break it down. Each Walt Disney World Resort location has different parking policies: Parking is free at Disney Springs for all guests. At Disney Resort hotels, parking is free for overnight guests and sometimes permitted for daytime visitors with dining reservations.

Parking at Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios costs $30 per standard vehicle and $35 per oversized vehicle. Guests can upgrade to preferred parking for between $15 and $25 daily.

To access Magic Kingdom Park, guests must park at the Transportation and Ticket Center and take the Monorail or watercraft transportation to the theme park entrance.

Last week, TikTok user @abbymakingmemories parked at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. She followed the parking cast member’s instructions but found an unofficial parking violation notice on her windshield after a long day at the Disney park.

“We drove my husband’s truck tonight, which is a bigger truck,” the Disney Park guest explained. “When we were pulling up to park, the parking attendant specifically said to take up two spots because it is a bigger truck. He rolled down his window, and he double-checked… When we parked, [the cast member] goes, ‘Perfect.’”

Another Disney Park guest in a large vehicle jokingly thanked them for parking nearby and took up the other half of the second parking spot that the TikToker’s family used.

After a long day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the guest returned and found that her husband’s truck and the large vehicle beside them were defaced with an unofficial parking “warning.”

The sticker read:

“You are illegally parked for one or more of the following reasons and you are subject to being towed or booted at your expense.”

The vandal checked off that the guest parked “improperly” and “blocked other cars.” They wrote that they “parked like a r*****” and claimed that “Disney” issued the warning and would tow their vehicle.

“My husband had to spend 15 minutes peeling it off the window because it was stuck,” the Disney Park guest said. “The fact that someone’s walking around at The Most Magical Place on Earth with these stickers in their car–don’t do that!”

Commenters said their cars had also been defaced or stolen from in Walt Disney World Resort parking lots.

“Someone did something similar to us too, last year,” @minnieearsmagnet wrote. “Thankfully it wasn’t a sticker. It was a card stuck under our windshield wiper. Hubs has a truck, was told by [a cast member] to take two spots.”

“I once had my Simba [Annual Passholder] Magnet stolen of my car at Hollywood Studios,” @wild._.honey replied.

Disney cast members may be able to check security footage if another guest defaces or steals from your vehicle at Walt Disney World Resort. Notify a parking cast member or guest services if you believe someone tampered with your car.
