If you’re one of the countless Gravity Falls fans, you’re undoubtedly on pins and needles after the developments in The Book of Bill. While series creator Alex Hirsch is still “in conversations with Disney” about season three, one cast member shared a telling update in front of a live audience.

If you’re just tuning in, Gravity Falls has lied dormant since the series ended after two seasons in 2016. With fans longing for a third season after the “Weirdmageddon” finale, Hirsch and his book from Bill Cipher’s point of view sent fans on an elaborate scavenger hunt full of codes and secrets; a return to the Mystery Shack is practically inevitable.

Although we’ve had no confirmation at this time, one of the show’s most recognizable cast members might have just leaked his return on social media. As we wait for Dipper and Mabel to gear up one more time, Weird Al Yankovic shared his thoughts after his spot on the show.

In case you haven’t seen the show, Gravity Falls is a Disney animated series about Mabel and Dipper Pines, twin siblings who uncover a mysterious conspiracy involving supernatural creatures and their eccentric Grunkle Stan in the small town of Gravity Falls, Oregon.

The series is essentially an X-Files-esque show for kids dealing with the strange and bizarre, and no collection of weirdness would be complete without Weird Al Yankovic stopping by.

If you don’t know Gravity Falls, you definitely know Weird Al and his satirical parodies of popular songs and successful career spanning decades, releasing numerous albums and performing live shows. He also had a brief stint on the Disney animated series as Probabilitor the Annoying, an evil wizard in the show’s parody of Dungeons & Dragons, and he might be back for one more round, according to Galaxy Con’s footage.

Yankovic was last seen as an easter egg on the show’s mysterious teaser website (seen here), but he seems interested in a full-fledged return. While he states that he doesn’t know if he will be back, the way he says, “always happy to do anything with Alex,” might hint that there is indeed a future for the show.

Weird Al Yankovic isn’t the only Gravity Falls cast member teasing the fans. Jason Ritter (voice of Dipper Pines) has his Twitter/X page overflowing with hints at the show’s lore. At one point, Bill Cipher even seemingly possessed the actor, and chaos ensued.

As with any iconic television series, fans can plot, speculate, imagine, and propose fan theories, but the creator still has the final say on everything. Gravity Falls fans have the luxury of knowing that Alex Hirsch cares for the fanbase and even plays with some of their delusions.

At the time of writing, it is still unknown what will become of the show, but Disney has definitely invested a lot of time, money, and effort for this to be something as simple as fan service. A return to the Mystery Shack is all but inevitable.
