Sometimes, when visiting places like Walt Disney World Resort, you have magical moments or get stuck at a popular attraction where you see the ride with the lights on and get shoved backward by cast members to safety.
Disney Guests in Not-So-Magical Moments
When visiting one of the most magical places on Earth, you don’t always feel or see the magic unfold before you. Sometimes, people are terrible and end up in horrible situations that affect themselves or others around them. For instance, guests sometimes try to smuggle something illegal into the theme parks.
The other day on Reddit, a viral video showcased a Disney guest attempting to smuggle alcohol through Disneyland security. The video shows a Disney severity member trying to reveal the truth while the guest is pretending this isn’t happening now.

In another viral video this week, a Disney guest was caught on film pushing Olaf from the Frozen franchise in front of family and friends. Posted to the popular social media site TikTok, you can see a guest pointing his finger toward Olaf’s face after giving him a slight shove. But it’s enough to have the character fall over and a cast member rush over to remove the Disney guest from the area.

Other times, cast members previous or current will post their own content onto social media in order to retell a crazy story involving a guest from the parks or the Cruise Line. Former Disney cast member Kelsey Conkling has taken to TikTok to share anecdotes from her time working at Walt Disney World Resort.
In one of her recent videos, Conkling detailed a particular encounter with an irate hotel guest, referred to as “Stacy,” who insisted that no staff members be allowed to enter her family’s room during their stay.

Then there are times where international guests will make a scene at a Disney park, creating an unfortunate scenario for themselves or others. A man who visited Disney World back in May began to yell and scream at cast members inside his Resort after it was discovered that the food court was closed down. Needless to say, one of our reporters witnessed the entire ordeal, which you can read more about by clicking here.
But alas, there are those times where guests will get stuck inside of a Disney attraction, either seeing the ride with the lights on and getting evacuated, or having cast members guide them out of the ride to get to the exit. Other times, you get to stay in your seat and have cast members push and shove you through the ride in order to exit the attraction.
On August 24, @rocco_botte on X posted a 23 second video showing Disney cast members pushing and shoving the boats with guests inside at the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at Magic Kingdom. The lights had to go on and the guests were stuck on the ride for such a time, until the cast members came to the rescue, which was filmed on video below.
Well, something I always hoped to see finally happened- Pirates of the Caribbean broke down so hard they had to turn all the lights on and push my boat all the way backwards through the ride to get me out – @rocco_botte on X
