Disney World’s Magic Kingdom park is home to the resort’s largest selection of rides and attractions. From classic dark rides to intense thrill rides, guests of all ages will find something to enjoy at the Magic Kingdom.
It’s important to remember that Walt Disney World has four theme parks, each offering its own unique experiences. Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios pack quite a punch when it comes to pure thrill rides, featuring some of Disney’s most adrenaline-pumping attractions, like Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and Expedition Everest.
EPCOT is undoubtedly the most unique theme park, as it not only attempts to entertain but also educate guests on various topics such as history, language, and geography. This is greatly reflected in EPCOT’s World Showcase and throughout the park at places like The Land.
Here is where guests will learn about agriculture and technology and is where some of EPCOT’s most popular attractions, like Soarin’ Around the World, can be found.
However, The Land entered the spotlight for a very different reason this week, claiming yet another victim.

The escalators in EPCOT’s The Land pavilion have been shut down once again due to a guest getting their feet caught in the treads.
This was revealed in a post from Twitter/X user Disney Clips Guy, who shared a few images of after the incident.

The Land is a massive indoor hub where guests will find various attractions as well as a quick-service location called Sunshine Seasons. The Land is two stories tall, meaning guests can take the stairs, elevator, or escalator to get up and down.
However, The Land’s escalators have proven to be a very tricky spot at the Walt Disney World, closing several times over the last year.
Multiple guests have gotten their shoes stuck in the treads, causing the escalator to shut down. This became so common with guests wearing Crocs and other slip-on shoes that Disney issued a warning near the escalator about wearing these types of shoes.
This most recent example involved a regular tennis shoe, not a slip-on pair.
