Entire Disney Resort Goes Dark, Immediate Shut Down Required

Guests at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa had to encounter a blackout after a power outage took place at the resort.

While things are meant to be as magical as one would experience at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, or any other Disney park, sometimes thing can go awry.

Yesterday, it was reported that there was a power outage across the entire resort. This not only left things dark, but shut down a lot of the spaces and areas within the resort. As you can see in the photos below, even gift shops were shut down with their doors closed and cast members standing outside.

Luckily, this power outage did happen during the day, so the sunshine was still able to bring the resort light, and with so much to do outside, a little time without power is not a catastrophe for any guest! Below is another look at the shut down Kalepa’s Store.

In the theme parks, we do see power outages occur, as well as outages with credit and debit card readers. This is actually something that is quite common at Disneyland Paris. When an instance like this happens, guests are typically not compensated as the problem is usually rectified quite quickly.
