Walt Disney World Resort has broken its first record for 2024 as guests pay the price and pave the way for a special after-hours event tonight.

Disney World After Hours Event Sells Out, Leading to First 2024 Record Broken
Tonight marks the inaugural sold-out Disney After Hours event of 2024, following a string of successes in 2023, during which the overwhelming majority of After Hours gatherings reached total capacity. Unfortunately, the Disney Hollywood Studios After Hours event has sold out completely.
On these special evenings, attendees are granted an additional three hours of enchantment at Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT. Those participating in these separately ticketed affairs enjoy extended opportunities to partake in attractions, engage with beloved characters, and indulge in various complimentary snacks accompanied by select beverages.
For the summer of 2024, Disney After Hours pricing varies between $145 and $175, with a $30 discount available for members of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) and Walt Disney World Annual Passholders, extending a gesture of appreciation to valued members of the Disney community.

What Is This After Dark Event?
Disney After Hours events are ticketed events that allow guests to explore the parks after they close. The events offer shorter wait times, character experiences, and limited crowds at some attractions.
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests can expect to see rare characters like Duffy throughout the night. Shops and food carts close at 12:30 a.m., so guests should grab any last snacks and drinks before then. At Magic Kingdom, guests can enter the park at 7 p.m. and stay until 1 a.m.
Disneyland also has an After Dark event that offers parades, live shows, and the chance to see Disney friends.
2024 Disney After Hours events will be available from January 11 to June 27, 2024. Tickets range from $155–$175, with discounts available for Disney Vacation Club members and Annual Passholders.

Animal Kingdom does not have any extended evening hours at this time, making this the only Disney park without an After Hours event, which makes sense since the animals need a break from the guests. These extra magic hours at this Disney resort mean you gotta do some type of after-hours strategy to make your ticket worth the price when going to the Magic Kingdom after hours or EPCOT and Hollywood Studios on select nights.
Visit the official Disney World After Hours event page for more details on upcoming exciting evenings.
